It looks like an Agaricus species to me. Not sure which one without looking in a book though. Does it have a distinct smell? any noticeable bruising?

It seems pretty dried out would attempting a spore print be worth while?
Are agaricus caps typically dish-like? The cap is like a flat saucer.
Yea I think I once again jumped the gun and got all excited about a vaguely amanita looking species, the characteristic white gills are lacking.
I referred to a book and am now leaning towards Agaricus Bisporus.

A spore print usually helps with most mushrooms. There are ways of telling without taking one though (not for the inexperienced) The dark gills on this mushroom along with a few other distinctions, I.e. size and shape in this case, we can determine this mushroom will most likely drop chocolate brown spores. You can also look several other places for spore deposits like the universal veil or stipe. These are not true with all mushrooms sometimes gill color can change as a specimen matures and can be deceiving.
The Amanita genus would have a white print and prominently white gills.
Yes the pileus can go from conical convex to plain to occasionally uplifted with this genus.

I am leaning towards Agaricus osecanus group, but please wait for a TI to confirm before you try to consume any wild mushrooms.

No worries, I wouldn't eat it even if it was an edible species.
It's dirty, dry and teeming with little wriggly springtails.

Possibly A. benardii. I really don't know though. I'll leave this to the TIs.
