Green/blue mold on horse poo

I found green blue mold on one horse poo cake that was close to full colonization. (two + weeks from rye grain spawn, the second week was warmer right next to flourescent light.( ps. Mex.)) The cake was sealed up tight with foil. Question is, did lack of gas exchange cause this?
Also the blue/green was only on one side and the cake smelled good, like freah mushroom so I scooped out the moldy half and am going to try and fruit it, immediatly. Any thoughts on that?

If you want help with your projects it helps if you post pictures.
Its not wise to cut off mold because exposing mold to air in your house makes all the spores go in air and you future projects may get contaminated much faster because you were impatient.

Are you sure it was contamination ?
I had a thought and it is bruising blue. Not a contam at all.
Pics would be much helpful in this case.

Bruising would have been nice, but the blue/green stuff was not just on the surface it went deep. Pictures would be nice if I had a computer, I just have an Ipad and uploading pictures dosent happen with these things. The mold showed up from out of the blue(hehe), never seen it before....so not to worried about it being cut up and around in the future.

Additionally I have two cakes, made the same way. The other one is doing just fine. I think the good one was checked more often ( more gas exchange) Both cakes had some condensation on the top of cake/on the foil.

Cut cake, grew new blue/green. Tossed it out. Other cake is looking good. My new theory is my pasturization process was flawed and I did not fully pasturize the substrate. FYI when I was trying to wrap my head around pasturization, I stuck my therometer into the coffee pot and BAMN perfect temp 170. So I found an extra coffee pot and thought I had a perfect solution. Well.... liquid coffee and horse shit are two different things to the hot plate in a coffee maker. first shot at pasturization was going smooth, three hours later and the temp was over 180 so I thought it steril and tossed it. Second try I probably under pasturized it, just touching 170 before turning it off.. This is probably the cause of said-mold and I will work on pasturization procedures in future. Wish luck to second cake. If you care to comment please do, ignore following query otherwise... How long to let cake eat nutrients once colonized? And once it has fully matured (eaten the substrate) as a cake should it be soaked (dunked) ? The thought of it seems risky, but worthy.

Since you don't have a pic I feel I should point out that bruising appears soon after any kind of cutting whereas mold will usually take a couple days at least to reappear. Hopefully you're not just tossing out a bruised cake.
Bruising will look like the mycelium is discolored with a blue to green color. Whereas mold spores will appear over the surface with a powdery texture.
