The realist, most talented, most under rated for 20 years now. Even though he is a legend he doesnt get the recognition he deserves.

Vinny Paz, lots of UK rappers. Some Aussies.

Check out Vinny Paz, Army of the Pharaohs, Angry Mic (depends on which song), Hilltop Hoods, Split Prophets, Leaf Dog.

Del tha funky homosapien and his crew The Heiroglyphics, Abstract ninjaa, Clear Soul Forces, Danny Brown, Evidence, Chuck Inglish and the cool kids, Chance the Rapper, I could go on but these are a few of my favorite underrated rappers / MCs, most of these guys at the height of their fame and are still grossly underrated. I could make a whole list if we were talking about 90's rap.

It's repulsive that all these fake ass niggas like 2 Chains and Rick Ross are becoming household names.

Although Kendrick Lamar is pretty big now, many of his songs are underrated/not well known.
I think TDE as a whole is the best in the game right now, mostly Black Hippy. Some songs to give a listen are: Rigamortus- Kendrick Lamar, Bohemian Grove- Ab Soul, R.O.T.C.- Kendrick, Say Wassup- Schoolboy Q (it also has Kendrick, Ab Soul, and Jay Rock on it but they aren't listed as features), Collect Calls- Kendrick, and Banger- Schoolboy Q.

->MF DOOM- listen to accordion or Guv'nor (these are new tracks but hes been around for days. He also does sick collabs with other producers under the names DANGER DOOM, JJ DOOM, and MADVILLIAN(Prob my fav collab.

->CYNE("Cultivating your new experience")- if you watched the anime samurai champloo you probably heard CISE STAR and AKIN rapping on a few nujabes tracks. Check out the nujabes tracks "feather" and "lady brown". CYNE tracks like "arrow of god" or "moonlight" are some of my favs.

->Jean Grae

->AZ-you probably never heard his stuff, but im pretty sure you listened to him rhyme on the NAS track "Life's a bi**h"  from illmatic.

->PRETTY MUCH THE WHOLE RYHMSAYERS ENTERTAINMENT FAMILY (other than atmosphere and murs)
to name a few.
-->Aesop Rock (check out his collab with kimya dawson known as THE UNCLUDED, song "delicate cycle")
-->Brother Ali
-->P.O.S (check out his song "OPTIMIST" wasnt my favorite the first time i heard it but it's now amazing to me. ANd he did the beat with the cups before fucking musicals took the idea and ran with it.)
-->Mac Lethal

Honestly I could go on for days, there are hundreds of legit "conscious" and "underground" MC's and rappers that have bars for day and a sick flow. But alas corrupt media and the horrible taste in music perpetuated by what people want you to believe is "good," has diluted mainstream rap to insignificant dribble about Money and Bitches.

I went through everyone's post and feel you're fucking stupid.

BoB though in the past like year, I say fuck him, his mixtapes were some of the most enlightening hip-hop in recent years.

MGK, though songs like Wild Boy are more about hyping up drug use, he's got some stories to tell. Definitely worth a look into Lace Up and 100 Words and Running.

KiD CuDi. Anything before WZRD is almost always a great listen into some deep poetic shit. Indicud has some alright stuff. Honestly though listen to some of his stuff. Sometimes I wonder if there is another message altogether he is really trying to get across while things like Pursuit of Happiness gets attention.

Ab Soul. Barely heard a few of his songs. Really I've heard a bit but only recently began investigating his stuff so it's like I'm re-first time hearing it. Still, a rapper who reps the seriousness as opposed to Soulja Boys song "freestyle" DMT is something to be honored.

Lupe Fiasco. You ever hear anything on the radio short of his Old School Love now? Sure, maybe something that sounds radio like will make it from him but State Run Radio, yep. LASERS, The Cool, Back to F&L.

Big Sean has some powerful shit that never made it big. That's why I like him. The radio can keep songs like "I Do It" or "Ass" with Nicki Minaj but this dude has some sick flow and knows the pain of losing someone close.

Wale. Same example of Big Sean. That shit with Nicki Minaj, get that out of here. The Gifted, I felt, wasn't much artistry but before that, he had some sick music.

Kid Ink. Nargle's got an alright voice to do drugs to I suppose. Maybe he doesn't quite fit in here but he's got some Gems. "Cali Dreamin" "I Just Want It All" "Keep it Rollin'".

Overall though, I have these "connections" if you will with these rappers because they each, in some way, know my life. I'm not talking about their random songs but specifically their life's growing up is built together to make mine.

I adore Hip-Hop and Rap with all my heart; From my soul. I believe one day I will attempt my hand at this but I think these dudes have it on lock for now. I'm glad these guys (mostly) aren't mainstream. At least the songs which I focus on. Like psychs, the message is just too powerful for a person who isn't open to learn to enjoy. It's not for the masses and that's why alcohol and lil wayne exist.
