NSA phone surveillance program likely unconstitutional
    #19284208 - 12/16/13 02:29 PM (10 years, 1 month ago)

LOOKS like they HAVE gone a bit too far

NSA phone surveillance program likely unconstitutional, federal judge rules
• Dragnet 'likely' in breach of fourth amendment
• Judge describes scope of program as 'Orwellian'
• Ruling relates to collection of Americans' metadata

"Likely" and put his opinion on hold.  He didn't actually do anything.  This was always destined for the Supreme Court and that is where it will be resolved.  One District Court judge doesn't mean shit and even he knows it.  Now there is a semi-rulling that will allow the SCOTUS to grant cert.

You can always find a judge to rule anything.  That's why I don't particularly accept the whole notion of judge issued warrants as providing safety.  Act accordingly.

One of the reason for his ruling, show us proof this has worked and so valuable.

And they don't have to reveal national secrets to do it.

Not so much.  First it has to go to the circuit court, then it can go to the SCOTUS.
