Soooooooo. Just waiting around.... The petris look good. Temp is sitting at 80 today.
Guess I just kick back and play on steam for the next two days and hope something happens.
What do you guys usually do while you're waiting?

Should I just be leaving them alone completely then? Like not checking in them at all for the next 48 hours? Or is it ok to look?
I know this one has been asked before but, is complete darkness better then a little light coming through the cracks or when I open the cupboard?

Another morning comes. The good news is there's nothing weird in them petris like there was the last time I tried 48 hours in. However there's still no normal growth either Just spores sitting in the dish. Let's hope something starts to happen tomorrow.

96+ hours in.
Nothing new to report. Petri dishes & jars are still just sitting there with no real growth. I am beginning to see some very faint and wispy looking white stuff, swirling around in some of the excess moisture of of a few of the PDYA jars when I tilt them to the side and look through the liquid(only a few drops inside the jar built up from condensation) that is up against the glass. Could be anything though, hoping it's LC-like myc growth, otherwise it's something else.

The myc loves light especially in the 6500k range. You should have them on a 12/12 schedule. There is no such thing as too much light, as long as you don't dry them out

It's getting a good light schedule. the cupboard isn't sealed tight lots of sunlight seeps through the cracks during the day and at night it's nice and dark.

Well it's day 5 now. Still nothing going on. Two of the PDYA dishes look like they might have a bacterial problem, can't say for certain yet, as it could just be the agar particles in the excess moisture for one of them, the other has that weird wispy looking white stuff floating around in the excess moisture that I talked about yesterday. The rest of them look exactly like they did they day I put them in the cupboard. I know spores are suppose to take a while to germinate but I am really starting to lose hope.

Updated the OP with the past 2 days.
Check out the growth on this Petri.

and I know it looks kinda grey up against the shadowy light in picture, but not on camera, it is completely white.

Update 12/30 Ok so here is the news so far.
My PDYA jars grew nothing in the ways of fungus or molds. From what I can tell a handful of them grew some bacterial looking stuff, while the rest look like they did when I first PC'd them,
My 2/5 of my peptone beef agar petris wound up growing something that resembles cobweb mold, while the other three have nothing at all on them. Still trying to confirm wither or not if it's cobweb mold.
so all the agar I used is just wasted time and effort.
That's the bad news.
The "could be" good news is, one of the four BRF cakes I inoculated 8 days ago is showing some growth! It's white, right below the injection port, and nothing smells weird.
Without Flash;
 With Flash;
 I'm scared that it's just more of that fucking cobweb bullshit. Time will tell. The other jars are not showing anything yet, but to be fair I was kinda absent minded when I inocced and got alot of the solution in the middle of the jars rather then up against the glass like the tek suggests, because I am stupid and forgot to hold the needle straighter.

Updated my OP and cut out all the needless pics that don't matter anymore because it was all contaminated or just.... sterile fuck IDK what to say about it I mean literally some of the dishes still look brand new and a couple I see the spores still. But anyway.
All of my jars are showing growth but this one is definitely taking the lead. Colonization rates are as follows;
Innoc on 12/22 Growth on 1/6 @: Jar A - 37%, Jar B - 15%, Jar C - 7%, Jar D - 2% Jar E - 0%(in the fridge ran out of spore juice in case you were wondering where #5 was)
However..., I did kinda botch the position when I was inoculating a few times which leads me to believe that alot of the colonizing on some of the other jars might be going on more at the core right now, for example, I only just barely started to see growth coming to the glass on D today.
I have another thread to track the daily growth of my jars mycella and advice as to whether it's developing safely or not. If you're interested you can find it in the OP. More updates coming soon.

Updated my OP. Growth looks great but it's starting to smell a lil funky. Like their might be cobweb up in the dry verm. Hope this is normal at this stage.
