Think about how many things get fixed because of people on meth... then compare that to how many things are destroyed because of a drug like crack, which I would compare the high of crack to nitrous without the addiction. Do you know what crack does to a person? Crackheads will steal money from anyone and everyone, they're not even themselves anymore, they'll forge checks, pawn stolen jewelry, overdraw their bank accounts to surprising amounts, even drain their family member's bank accounts, and if they have a gf/bf, I'd feel sorry for them because a crackhead will stop caring about their gf/bf and just use them for money, housing, food, etc.
This is what people say about every drug in existence.

Yeah, I personally do not have a lot of self-control for various reasons, but a lot of people do.
I did at one point, and I plan on regaining it when I'm in a better place mentally.

Almost sounds like you're saying that anyone who uses meth is addicted, steals, and has had their life ruined by this drug.
Am I the only one that doesn't consider drugs to cause these sorts of things?....but rather the person and their choices & decisions?
The way I see it, it's more along the lines of...some people really lack self control and ruined their own lives with a drug.
People are always quick to point the blame towards the "drug", and never the person that decided to try & use the drug in the first place. It's the person that digs their self into a hole. The drug isn't inherently "destructive", the chemical doesn't have any innate qualities such as good or bad....but a person's choices, habits, and relationship with a drug, that can be destructive.

^ Very true.
The addictive potential of meth is way overhyped imo too.
I know a few people who use the drug, and I use it myself, but I don't know anyone who uses it on a daily or near daily basis. I also know only one person who seems to be ruining his life with it, but this person would be ruining his life with something else if he wasn't in to meth as far as I can tell.
I won't deny that methamphetamine has a bad comedown but it can be minimised quite well with responsible dosages, no redosing, food and sleep. I really find a moderate dose of meth no different than a moderate dose of amps in terms of comedown
And the high is smoother and less "tweaked out" despite common misconception.
