PE Problem-Children ---Update 12/31/13----

So these two guys (2x 27Qt Mini-Monos, 3Qt spawn - 5.5~Qt coir/verm mix) have been in fruting conditions for over a month now (I believe it was 11/15), I remembered PE to be picky, and a very special pain-in-the-ass during the colder months, but this is just plain ridiculous!
We decided to try and dunk them about a week ago, we let them sit in the tub for an hour and a half each with a couple of clothes hangers keeping the blocks level with the bottom holes.
We had thought during the first couple weeks that maybe we had just ended up with fruitless genetics, even with a full MS syringe used to create the spawn used in these tubs, but why would they bother making the ARMY of primordia that has sat dormant since it appeared the first week of fruiting conditions? Pics:
 Tub 1: Tub 2:
I know the bluing could be a sign of them drying out and I haven't found any of my old analog humidity gauges among my old supplies yet, but they always feel very warm/humid when I open them to mist. My room has fluctuated a bit with the cold weather, but never drops below 70F.
Some of this I know I need to just fix on my own if I want to try to save them, such as finding my gauges and maybe spending a little more time trying to stabilize a permanent temp in my room, but I've fruited some BEAUTIFUL Ecuador from these very same tubs, with the very same ratio, with WAY less maintenance about a month and a half ago!

Should I try to dunk them again after I find my gauges? or just continue misting and fanning? I'm not very good at this any more lol

i wanna say it looks like trich but the actual structure doesnt really match.. with trich you usually get a super white and distinctively bubbly surface for the mold... there is not white bubbly surface.
I am willing to bet that it is in fact, bluing, which usually means the mycelium is stressed.

It could be bruising. Look into "late casing", which has shown great promise with PE.
search for user "FrankHorrigan". He has an excellent write up on PE "variety" and casing benefits.

ack, I should've mentioned we used to do this a LOT, the coloration is purely lighting/camera if it looks green. They are indeed trichless
Tub 1 does have quite a bit of bluing on the surface

AHA! I forgot we used to use the late casing tek for our PE tubs to get them going a little faster! We've been using a lot of info from Franks teks too
Years back, we used to grow PE exclusively, on a pretty large scale too, but ran into complications with other things going on in our lives. These are pretty much just for shits and giggles so that we can have some of our favorite cubes on hand for the year, so either way it's no huge loss if they fail.
Anyway, should I dunk them once more before I apply the casing layer? If so, how long? I do my best to mist them regularly but the surface appears pretty dry most of the time.
Current plan of attack: Find desired casing recipe. Go shopping.... Make casing mix and begin pasteurizing Meanwhile dig out Humidity gauges and recalibrate (Dunk again????) Zero-in on 99% RH by adjusting Polyfil/room heater/fan, etc. Apply casing layer
Return to thank the crap out of you guys with BIG, BRIGHT eyes, and a tummy full of weiner
Sound about right???

Bumpin'
Just got back from shopping for casing materials, about to get started on pasteurization, and wanted to check and see what you guys think about the extra dunk before applying the casing layer?
If I don't hear back from any of you pros on here our plan is just to go about it as scientifically as possible by dunking Tub #1 which is showing significantly more bruising on the surface than Tub #2, and just leaving Tub #2 the way it is. Just in case we ever happen to run into this problem again, at least then we'll know how to fix it.
Please and Thank You cult forum!!!!

There looks like no moisture on the inside of your fc, if that were my case and still nothing after a dunk and all that I'd just move onto a new project. Hopefully you have something else started! Get some agar supplies so if you do happen to get anything you can clone and isolate etc.

Late casing worked
Still going slow and kinda inconsistent but I'm pretty sure now that it's the fluctuation of temperature in my room that's to blame, it's pretty difficult to manage in the cold months, as our room gets very hot so we have to leave the window cracked at all times, and of course sometimes it will get colder than we had hoped...
Anyway, I just wanted to thank you guys............. and flash my dick(s)
