tyvek heavy duty painters suit for ge filters
    #19283386 - 12/16/13 11:25 AM (10 years, 2 months ago)

Hey guys i was at lowes and bought a tyvek painters suit and was just wondering if anyone uses these for ge filters for jars and if so do you just use 1 layer or 2 layers?

I was using tyvek envelopes but was told its not a good filter and ive researched to use tyvek suits in place of envelopes if you dont feel comfortable getting sfd's.

Thanks guys

it will work.. as RR states below those suits are better then the envelopes.. i would use one layer.

If you use tyvek, get cloth tyvek such as chemical protection suits, or kite building tyvek. Construction grade and envelope grade are different weaves and not as effective.

Not sure about the suits, but i use 2 layers when working with envelopes.

That kind of Tyvek should be more reliable than envelope Tyvek. I don't see any reason to use more than one layer.
