Impatient or rightfully concerned?

Knocked up 12 - 4oz jars with pf classic and one quart grain jar with Ecuador. It's now day 9 with no germination in ANY of the jars. The fact that none of them show any positive signs concerns me. I know I should wait and blah blah blah but I'm starting to think something went wrong during sterilization. I inoculated in SAB and followed protocol to the T. Purchased my syringes from a reputable vendor and made sure I shook the syringe before each inoculation. Someone just tell me to stop worrying and wait. Thanks for letting me vent, shroomerites!

9 days would be concerning, but not unheard of. Colonization temps and moisture content of the cake play a role in speeds. I am not a cake expert, but you may wait up to 3 weeks to see signs of life at times with grain. Do you any sort of temp control, or is the room maintained at a constant temp?
I can imagine that you waited until the jars were cool before inoculating?

Left the jars in the PC for about 4 hours to cool after I turned it off.
I have an oil heater in the room that keeps the temp between 72 and 76 at all times. My grains turned out near perfect using RR's method.

dont worry about it, not yet anyway. 9 days really isnt that long. I waited ~3 weeks for one to start, I was just about to throw it out, when it started. It's fruiting now showing a few pins.
As long as there's no sign of contams, i would just wait it out friend

got any pics? Did you use BRF tek for the jars? Can you give us a little more info on how they were prepared?

I'll post some pics in a few hours when I get home. They were prepared using the pf tek, the only difference is during incubation I have no lids, just dry verm layer.

After four hours they may have still been too hot. Its generally recommended to wait 12 hours. You want them room temp when inoculating. Try this next time. Good luck.

Ahh so the inside of the jars may have been hot enough to destroy the spores? At what temp do they expire? The jars felt a little warm but not hot by any means.

Its possible yes. That is why it is recommended to wait overnight or 12 hours. PC/boil at night then noc up when you wake up. That seems to be a good way otherwise you get too excited and noc them up sooner ha. Many people here do that.
