tightness in the top of my head after eating ps. cyanescens.

so I recently moved to northern California (far north, not the bay area) and I like to partake in forced conscious expansion, so of course one of my first priorities upon arriving in this beautiful place was to hunt out some mushrooms. so after a long while of taking spore prints of different mushrooms and researching (mostly on this site) I finally came upon some ps. cyanescens. now I should probably mention I have eaten mushrooms before taking these cyanescens. I have eaten lots of commercially grown cubes and have NEVER had a bad experience with them. so anyways after I made sure they were ps. cyanescens, I weighed out 2.5 grams (dried) to chow down on. now I know that cyanescens are a fairly strong mushroom but I have eaten up to a quarter ounce of cubensis at one time, so I figured I could hang...but I was wrong. these mushrooms came on rather quickly and within 30-45 minutes I was pretty much out of my mind. now this wasn't the bad part in fact the first hour or so of this trip was enjoyable, but about an hour or an hour and a half in I started getting these sharp pains in the top of my head and then the pains started moving (the only way I can think to explain this feeling is bugs in your brain) but this eventually subsided into a feeling of tightness in the top of my head, not painful just an odd feeling that I wished would go away. anyways that night I ended up sleeping sitting up cause if I layed down the feeling in my head would intensify. I should probably mention I went to sleep about 6-7 hours after ingestion so I was not really tripping anymore at this point but the bad feeling was still there. now I haven't eaten any mushrooms since then but ive noticed that when I smoke marijuana I can feel the same feeling (not as intense though) I had that night, although this seems to go away a little more every day. im just wondering if anyone has felt this before or maybe knows what it might be. any info would be greatly appreciated as I hope my brain is not eating itself (kinda what it feels like). also I apologize ahead of time if I posted this in the wrong place or made any other rookie mistakes...as I am a rookie.
seriously though guys any info at all would be cool.

I have the same experience with ovoids. There are two distinct phases to the trip. The first part is very mental, the second part is very physical and there is usually a period in between where it feels like the trip is just about over.
The second phase starts with tightness in my neck, then that feeling spreads over my scalp. Last time this happened, I measured my blood pressure, because it feels like my head might explode. It was high, but not that high and I'm sure shrooms raise your blood pressure normally. I relaxed and tried to figure out where this sensation was coming from, and I think it is due to tightening of the muscles in your scalp and jaw area.
The one thing that is very notable about this second phase is how rapidly it comes on and peaks. I almost always make tea and the first phase takes about 15 minutes to start, peaks at about 30-45 minutes and is close to over at about an hour and half, the second phase starts just about when you think you are done tripping and within 5 minutes it is going full tilt, lasts about 10 minutes and is over about 15 minutes later. It is very strange.

To me the second phase is very unpleasant, because I used to get panic attacks and the sensations are very similar to the onset of a panic attack. Fortunately, that's as bad as it has gotten.

hey thanks for the info!
so just to clear this up you're saying you get this same feeling im describing when you take ovoids? does it occur when you take other types of mushrooms?
also I've been surfing through google and I think the sensation im getting could be caused by a tightness of neck muscles like you said. although that wouldn't explain the painful part I felt at first. I just hope I don't have a brain aneurysm or something like that, cause like I said im still feeling the tightness when I smoke marijuana. its not like when I was on the mushrooms but its definitely there. maybe its psychological though?
again thanks for the feedback, and the quick reply.
