Also I remember being told that it only lasts a few minutes, which is interesting. For one, I went into the place where there is no time. I also spent a lot longer than five minutes trying to work out WTF happened.
Seriously though, right now, salvia is the frog in the first panel, and you are the fly in the second panel.

Going by peoples reports it sounds quite interesting but I hit the muthaload this shroom season so not in a massive rush to aquire more psychs right now

well ok then. Still it's a five or ten minute experience and might cost you ten bucks or less.

I've tried salvia on a few occasions with no break thru. Watched my friends do all sorts of whacky stuff though.
One, upon coming down, immediately demanded more. He said he was an orb of light travelling the cosmos and that he had found some sort of gateway. Before he could go through he came back here. He wanted to go through.
After he did it again he was totally freaked out by all of us standing there. He said that his story for each of us had changed completely. Like he had different memories for how he had met us, our personalities, our relationship over time, etc. Same cast of characters but different story line. It really messed with his head. As though he entered himself in a different universe and the memories were conflicting and trying to sort themselves out.

If someone said that about LSD or Shrooms I'd be a little skeptical but not with salvia. It's interesting that some people can't get high on the stuff. I mean considering how powerful it is to those that do. They tend to think we are totally making this shit up.

Well I haven't tripped on LSD either despite trying and verifying the goods in multiple ways. First nothing then when upping the dose it reacted as a stimulant for me, like a dose of caffeine. More intensity in sensation and energy but nothing else of note. So I dunno. On a single tab off the same sheet my buddy was tripping. I dont need more than an eighth of shrooms to lose myself so its strange. But it does seem more common with salvia for sure. Tried smoking it any which way and in different concentrations. I don't doubt those experiences though. I've seen some of the oddest behaviors and sometimes the eyes are just staring so far off... One guy smashed his head so damn hard. Ugh. When he came back he said he was the book on the table and he was trying to turn his page. On our end he just jerked suddenly.

trippy, I had a similar experience.. smoked some salvia blast off... everything turned into slices.... then I became a page in an open book... the wind blew the pages went crazy and I was every single page as they zipped by one by one. Then I got to a certain page and I could see a strange world off in the distance, bright and beautiful. I began falling rapidly into that world. I got close to it and it was glowing bright yellowish orange... I thought I was going to fall onto the top of a mcdonalds sign but then my gf at the time started shaking me and woke me up before I got to touch down. Was very upset that she brought me out of it, was one of the most interesting intense experiences of my life and I wanted to explore it more thoroughly o well, I still came out of it feeling like a new born baby like with all of my trips... haven't tried it since, doubt I will unless somehow I find myself back in the glory days when set and setting were appropriate.. doubtful :p Lost my mind once before... I think ill not risk losing it again

Lol @ the mcdonalds sign
I know quite a few people who entered a cartoon world of some sort. I do wonder what's up with that.

The second salvia trip I had left me with the impression that zipping around metaphysical space is our natural state, and we reincarnated on Earth just to get a break - all the druggies, philosophers etc. are just people getting ready to go back.

I have a couple bizarre salvia experiences, one with total amnesia like described, my vision became like a landscape looked down at from a plane. It was as if it was all that ever was or had been, and I watched it morph like mountains and canyons being etched out over millions of years... But the most interesting part to me was how my ego seemed to be reassembled with nagging cues that were incongruent with what seemed like an all encompassing reality... Little things, the world disappearing and reappearing in quick flashes seemed so foreignly familiar until I burst out cackling realizing they were eyes blinking, and cascading realizations of a me with eyes, and so on... Truly bizarre fucking drug...
Another involved all the microorganisms in my body, they all had their own lives and dramas, very simple 9 to 5 job and dinner and a movietype thing, was just this total bizarro world microcosm within my body dreamscape...
I honestly don't love the way the drug feels, my body feels very awkward and clumsy and weird gravitational pulls on my spine, weird electric crawling sensations through my veins and skin, and almost a somewhat annoyed feeling that the master of the house of Consciousness has been rudely awakened. Aside from that, it's wildly interesting.
-------------------- Everything is better than it was the last time. I'm good. If we could look into each others hearts, and understand the unique challenges each of us faces, I think we would treat each other much more gently, with more love, patience, tolerance, and care. It takes a lot of courage to go out there and radiate your essence. I know you scared, you should ask us if we scared too. If you was there, and we just knew you cared too.

I have hit ego death on plain leaf off of two bowls. Maybe some people are just more sensitive than others idk. One massive hit of plain leaf with a Bic lighter and a bubbler and I am in another realm borderline ego death. Entering other objects/becoming them...
I have to say though now that you mentioned it and it go me thinking. I really think that smoking salvia was what has made me question reality and know that I never know what is truly going on. This I would say is good. But it it also saddens me in a way that I will never know what really is.

I completely understand what you mean about the 9 to 5 job. It was like the world was made out of these small creatures that each had a purpose. It was like I sort of dropped in on them and they decided to take me for a ride. And not really in a nice way necessarily.

hehe yep it left me with a cartoon impression too.. to bad I didn't get a closer look. only a growing image of it as I plummeted. The aura from it as a singularity was amazing though, beckoning me toward it... I wanted so bad to be in there afterwards.. felt like I missed out on something totally mindblowing.
@viktor haha would be crazy, though if it were anything like what I experienced I guess it wouldn't be bad at all. I have heard it said something like there's an infinite number of buddhas in every pore of everything.... I guess we could get tired of both worlds... sounds like us I'm not rulin it out

With leaves, in my experience, you have to take it in a big ass bong rip. Ideally the whole dose in one massive hit, and hold it for 30 seconds or so, with the lung capacity of a heavy pot smoker.
You can make your own crude extract though, I certainly did in my dorm room back in the '90s. You take a bunch of ground up salvia and put it in a jar of high proof isopropyl alcohol and let the soak for a day, say 30g of it... Then you'd strain and discard the leaves and put that liquid in a pan with a fan blowing over it and toss in another 5g of fresh plant matter when it was mostly dried up and let it finish evaporating.. It definitely worked, so much so that a girl I let test drive it (I'm such a gentleman ) was babbling wildly about being a child in a hospital room.. I could see how a dorm room would trigger that trip.

I can relate to this. At first my attitude was that the body ought to be able to find a way to learn to like the sensation but not I'm not so sure. It was like being very sick but with no real pain for me.

I did not like the come on. Pins and needles like feeling. I could feel the sweat come out of every pore of my skin and it hurt sort of and my heart felt like it was going to explode which made me anxious. Once in though it was just wonder, awe, terror, confusion, laughter etc. and coming back was sometimes a little sad.

For me and I've read this is true for others, we tend to forget many parts of the trip. Its almost like a dream where its so vivid when you wake up but half an hour later you won't even remember the subject of it often times.
It is usually uncomfortable and scary, but it is so odd and so real that I always feel the need to come back.
