Boy I'm glad I don't worry about this sort of stuff anymore. Not that I think its wrong to get caught up in whatever spiritual idea there is for the day. I just find it a lot more peaceful and so I'm glad for it.

Ignorance/not actively worrying or fretting about the validity of your spiritual or philosophical beliefs is bliss, indeed.

I worry about myself just not convincing others of any of it. I am not "the one".

Well... I have a sort of convincement that we cant understand shit.. mixed with some relativety and alot of things that cant be spoken of..
I have made my peace.. it is bliss indeed. Thoguh more because of my general peace than the constand former search confirm denounce.. cycle.. or is there truly a difference?
-------------------- And thus begins the reverse-fusing of our one-dimentional understanding, and adds ever-expanding perspectives, in depth and number; splitting our perception, and in so doing, seemingly irrationally, creates yet more one-ness, with all that ever was, is and will ever be, streching across the infinite, inunderstood concept of everything, percievable and not.

Word.
Actually, the best, most kind, most giving people I know never talk about the shit we talk about in this forum. They just go about their business of being kind, giving people.
So, it makes me wonder whether talking about this stuff is analogous to being in some sort of "limbo state" on the road to human perfection.
Heh. "Limbo."
Maybe the Catholics have it right after all.

Really, truly? You never worry at all?
If so, well done.

Yeah, i'm thankful that my life no longer feels so overly defined by ideas, i remember the days when i would be researching something & come across similar spiritual ideas but with conflicting interpretations by commentators, like the ideas of Buddhist rebirth & Hindu reincarnation, and i'd be totally mindfucked by the contradictions that mis-interpretors/commentators would bring up, i'd convince myself i HAVE to get to the bottom of it before i could relax & move on
What i've found so far is the most intense suffering stage of the spiritual search was when i was obsessed with concepts, i've not gone through ageing or had a major illness though so maybe the 'suffering stage' hasn't totally passed, but being able to not suffer your own mind is a HUGE part of being free if not all of it

That's the way to go but you fell into a trap when you posted this topic.

doesn't make what you said any less valid tho. Personally, I don't speak about my spiritual experience anymore either. The only fun I can have in S&M is to nag at people who are asking for it

I think imitation of the spiritual practices of others can be a good starting point when one has no roadmap of their own. In the end though, we all follow our own path.

I'm always interested in other people's perspectives and how they work or don't work for that person. I doubt that will ever change and it may be a necessary part of being a social being.
However, I don't argue my points like I used to. After smoking salvia a few times I surrendered my need for certainty. I'll still argue for the fun of it but it's more like a dance than a fight.

Yeah, the ol' salvia. Bought over the counter at a head shop entirely legally. Kicked my arse more than shrooms, although I can't say I gained any specific insight, other than to not believe anything with the fervour I once did. Which is awesome by itself, I'll concede.
