A few questions about rye berry jars.

So on the topic of using rye berries. Should I mix in coffee grounds?
Also my roommate tells me they dont have to be organic grounds and Im very unsure about non organic coffee. Doesnt it have fungicides?
I also ended up with a box of 1cc syringes. Are these even big enough to make an inoculation syringe? And would I be better of doing syringes with polyfill or just opening and doing a spore scrape?
Help is greatly appreciated!

i have never added grounds to my grains.
that being said... im kinda confused... are you saying that you have 1cc syringes, that you magically (lol) think have cubensis spores in them? or that you have 1cc syringes in a syringe that holds 1cc? please elaborate )

If you have a print already, skip the syringe. start on agar and then isolate until the culture is clean. If you try to go from print to syringe expect contamination...

I see. I guess Im making more agar tonight then. Man I need to switch to petris when I get a better SAB setup. Or at least babyfood jars. PCing only 3 jars at a time is exhausting.

Lol my PC can fit 1 quart jar at a time. and 3 half quart jars at a time. Gotta start somewhere. After this grow Im off to petris and really like the sounds of using grain jars to start bulk tubs.
I have a bail of straw and a big block of sawdust. So Im hoping coupled with my newspaper, coffee, and coir Ill find a badass bulk combo I like.
You have any luck with bulk substrates like this?
