I Am bumping this thread...
(2010) 76min.
Good documentary by the director of Ace Ventura, Liar Liar, and The Nutty Prof. to name a few.
Asks the questions what’s wrong with our world (society), and what can we do to make it better? -- then kinda trails off into hippie shit
Suggests some logical fairly 'conservative answers' most people would almost have to agree with to an extent i like how he mentions loving your neighbor on sunday and back to business monday.
at around the 40 min mark it does go into new age metaphysics stuff that may distract some but brings it back for a nice positive closer.
if you love Ace Ventura P.D., Fletcher Reede J.D., and/or Sherman Klump P.h.D. you should give it a watch!

Krokodil: Russia's Deadliest Drug A homemade drug called Krokodil is gaining popularity in Siberia and its effects on users are horrific. Krokodil is Russian for Crocodile, because of the way addicts' skin begins to get turn scaly, dry and eventually rot right off their bodies. Even most heroin users are frightened by Krokodil and want nothing to do with this terrifying drug
Drug Growers Growing hashish and opium is part of the culture of Pashtun tribes in northern Pakistan. Many depend on it for their livelihoods. Armed resistance is their only way to fight their governments 'Holy War' on drugs. With weapons like the AK47 freely available in Darra (the arms capital of North West Pakistan) neither side will back down. We visit the secretive tribally-controlled Khyber Agency bordering Afghanistan. Pakistan authorities don't dare close the multitude of heroin labs - they fear rebellion. Last time the government took on the Pushtun, ninety people were killed. Film of Pashtun poppy farmer Fez Mohammed, government anti-drug crusader Nawaz Malik, smoking in a hash den, the buying of weapons, tribal leaders, and James Magnor, the US narcotics attaché in Pakistan. Given viable alternative industries and jobs, the Pashtun people say they will abandon the poppy. Now, there is little hope of that with a government which now spends 80% of its budget on its military and the servicing of its national debt. ABC Australia
HASCHISCH 2002 How is hash made Awesome marijuana documentary about hash. Very cool cannabis film about the process of making hashish in Morrocco

Vats of Blood said: has anybody seen "hated: gg allin and the murder junkies"? i think i might try to find/watch that today.
I watched it not too long ao, i liked it even though I am not a big GG Allin fan. Some fav docs: King of Kong if you haven't seen this, see it. See a grown man cry over a Donkey Kong game and actually feel sorry for him.
Superheros http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1792621/ Watch some delusional people act out their childhood fantasies and wonder how long until they get shot.
Heavy Metal Parking Lot a short doc about the parking lot of a Judas Priest concert circa 1986. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0322526/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
Style Wars. Watch a bunch of early 80's NYC kids start a graffiti subculture that never stopped. And no Banksy either. Oh yeah and see hip hop when it wasn't about money. This is my favourite doc. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0177262/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
Crumb 1994 doc about R Crumb the underground comix artist from the 60s and his messed up family.
