i'm moving to silicon valley here in a bout a month or so. I work from my pc and am too young to go to bars and am not attending college. So i am kind of at a loss for how to meet new people haha. Does anyone have any advice for meeting friends and/or potential partners?

I plan on moving to a new city soon and I'm planning on finding friends through school, work, music venues, yoga classes, group meditation, whatever other classes I find that look cool, roommates, and generally intoxicated nights out. If none of these work out fast enough or I get desperate, I'll use craigslist.

its not really that i need help 'making friends.' I was just looking for suggestions really for good places where lots of people would be in a casual environment. I graduated high school last year and i usually met people in classes (obviously). And since i work from home and don't attend college i won't really be in any social situations. And walking up to a random guy in the grocery store and saying 'be my friend!' is just weird

Go to shows, festivals, take classes or short courses you're interested in or you might get along with someone at work
And don't be afraid to talk to strangers, within reason

Join a club of a hobby you already do or always wanted too. You can meet people in a chill environment with out all the pressure of dating websites.
