BRF colonization: 1/2 pint regular mouth

Hey all, I know this question has been asked multiple times (I've been reading past posts for the better part of an hour), but I can't seem to find a definitive answer. Do regular mouth 1/2 pints make for a significantly longer colonization period? I've seen members use them, but I haven't seen the finished product. Has anyone used regular mouth jars and had success?
These are the fellas I currently have.
In terms of removing the cakes, I've seen mixed reactions. I'm not worried about this aspect as much as I am about colonization time. If anyone has had success (or failure) using these jars, I'd like to hear what ya have to say. Thanks in advance, guys.

they can be used but are proun to longer colonizing times/stalling due to gravity drawing moisture to the bottom making your sub compact, they do work they just take longer, also the shape causes your verm barrier to fall down the sides alot of the time and cause early pinning

Thanks guys. I think I'm just going to do a little experimenting and try 5 jars each using: reg 1/2 pints, wide mouth half pints, and the Glad plastic jars.

I think the key to using the taller jars is inoculating the jar with a long syringe as to get the myc to start growing in the middle.
I've read they will stall if inoc from top due to lack of GE in the bottom of the jar

In my small amount of experience they have taken A LOT longer to fully colonize than the shorter wide mouth. A bunch would be left with a quarter sized area that took way longer to colonize compared to the rest of the jar.
Like 2.5-3.5 weeks for most of it to colonize followed by another week just for the really small area. It was fun to watch and compare them though so I would experiment like you had said if you have the money to spend on it.
