Raising Humidity in a mono style fruiting chamber w/trays. Cant mist during knotting

during knotting i cant mist the substrate, and im worried that my humidity is going to be too low by the time half inch pins form. what is the easiest way to raise the humidity, Ive been spraying the walls and Ive been running an ultrasonic humidifier ontop on the tub to keep it up, but I feel like its not getting it high enough still. What can i do... Fill the bottom with damp perlite?

Noooooo, im pretty sure it will work just fine. I dont think mushrooms are that picky when fruting, they will grow either way just need a way of keeping the humidity up. They have already starting pinNING. But i want to achieve a greater pinset. Ive loaded a jar with scraps of spawn and substrate that were laying on the ground N the spawn to sub ratio was 1 to 10. Didnt contam the first flush. N grew just normal. All they need is 100% colonization, light, FAE and high humidity.

Casing would help a bit, but the less FAE you have the less humidity there will be.....not more.
You need constant evaporation to have high humidity.....covering up holes almost always lowers your humidity.

I've got 2 "Extra Deep Roaster" trays (measure 11.75in L x 9.25in W x 4.19in D) sitting in a old mono tub now that are making more than enough heat to keep my RH a 100% with the normal air flow the mono holes provide when stuffed with poly. The mono is set up exactly as if it was being run as a regular mono too so I'm not sure how or why you'd be loosing so much humidity... Even 12 little straight grain containers in there by themselves was able to keep it up in the 98%+ range... Do you have 2 much air flow going on or something?

I've got my trays in 66qt sterlites. If I remember correct the holes are 1.5". Its like these trays were made for these tubs lol, fit perfectly. Only reason I went with trays instead of just doing a regular ol mono was because my last few "bulk" attempts went sour which I'm going to assume was because I was using the bucket tek for pasturization. I just went ahead and got a thermom and timer and all that jazz to do proper pasturizations and these are the results of my first times doing that. Figured I'd rather loose 1 or 2 trays if any than 1 or 2 tubs considering I'm still making sure its all being done correctly. Call me over precautions.

im sure it was the bucket tek once you get the proper pasteurization down you should be golden

Why can't you mist? Are both your arms broken? If so, get a friend to mist a time or two daily. You need to replace the moisture which evaporates off the substrate. RR

Misting cube pins never seemed to affect my grows - for Panaeolus, but not cubes.
