They had some cool shit, but their negotiating skills were questionable at best. They should be thanking us for bringing them civilization. The White Man's Burden can be a heavy load to bear, but it's our duty I suppose.

I don't enjoy drinking. Neither does my mom. But the full bloods, firewater. They love their alcohol. Mu uncle albert is 6 foot four inches 300 plus and is the most stereotypical "indian". There are stereotypes for a reason.

"Native" Americans certainly have a fascinating history and sets of culture but they were anything but "relatively" peaceful. Some were, certainly, but a large portion of their history falls into the category of "murder the shit out of everyone else around us".

Yup just like everyone else in that respect. Blackfoots were some murderous people. The only reason they probably didn't kill themselves off was the fact that they couldn't move very far, very fast. Then the Mexicans/Spanish went and gave them horses, and that's when the raids and murder went off the charts. Although settlers started flooding in from everywhere at that point for a piece of the pie and they had guns....
People love making excuses for why their culture fell to shit.

Native Americans had a cool way of viewing nature (generally). Regardless, of their violent ways.

you guys seem to forget that their culture was established before there was any such rules, that you can ascribe to.
and was essentially invaded by people outside of their sphere of knowing... they "had to adjust" as it were, but after living thousands of years just "Doing what you do" and living in relative peace with life... isn't it obvious that they should be a little taken back in reserving their "way of living" in small segregated areas with bad places for habitation? i mean they practically existed before Europe was even "a thing".
so i take it they absolutely lived in "relative peace" before and after the arrival of "Americans".
if the Americans din't (or still don't...) like it 'all that much' then then it's really on them; after all we came to this place LAST.

yeah, through violence you garner respect. in our culture it's the same thing... only if it doesn't develop into a commercial area or anything, it vexes people.
i don't advocate violence, either... but to be built for violence is what the Indians grew up with that for thousands of years.
