Syringe transfer?
    #19271476 - 12/13/13 04:16 PM (10 years, 1 month ago)

So basically my buddy and I want to split a syringe between the two of us, what would be the best way to split the syringe half way? i was thinking, getting a sterilized shot glass and just squirting some in and with a new syringe just suck it up?

I would knock up substrate jars and just split those up. Splitting a syringe just sounds wrong.

I would give it a whirl in front of a flow hood; anything else is asking for trouble. Who really knows, though? Give it a shot and keep us updated

well if i squirt just half the syringe into a shot glass then suck it up in a new syringe. both syringes will be half way filled. so i fill the rest of the syringe with a solution?

Sterilize some distilled water and add enough to fill both. You'll have plenty of spores even after adding the extra water.

you can go that route or even just suck up some boiling water a few times in the syring e you intend to fill and leave it in there the last time till it's cooled, sterilize your shot glass and get to work
