I've used both and noticed no significant difference.
The organic rye flour that I use seems slightly more course than the BRF. But, they seem to perform equally and the rye flour is slightly cheaper where I live.
Just pick one. It will make no difference. Just make sure it's whole grain flour

I'm switching to BRF because rye is a bitch to shake. My rye flower tends to clump up into independent balls witch fall off when you dunk. Otherwise rye works just fine for me.

I tried to use rye flour a lot of times, even when steaming for 2 hours I got contam in every jar I made, so yeah PC is a must, also it gets sticky as hell so keeping it fluffy and aireated is difficult IMO.

I never had the issues you guys speak of. Did you use pre-made rye flour? Or did you grind the rye berries yourself? I use the pre-made whole grain rye flour from the baking isle.
