I like to read, but hate it too. It always seems like such an unrewarding task. I just can never find the right book to grab my attention and keep me reading.
What are some good books that you think might suck me in and cure my hate for reading?

I like to read, but I like doing other things a lot more so it's hard for me to read much. I liked the bit i read from Eragon if you like dragons you'll probably like it

Thanks!
The Stand and The Green Mile seems quite interesting. I've been meaning to read LSD: My Problem Child, for quite some time now. I totally forgot about it until you suggested it.

No problem.. I may think of more, I'm trying really hard.. my memory is atrocious. Do android dream of electric sheep is the book the movie "Blade Runner" was based off of.

I will look through all my books tomorrow and see what I have still. Send me a PM so that I can respond to you and let you know what I have. I wouldn't mind sending you any of the ones you might find interesting.

The movie is old as shit.. it has Harrison Ford in it but its pretty darn good.. Its a Philip K Dicks book.. They are all relatively small compared to other authors.
No problem man, they are literally just sitting in my basement so I would much rather give them to someone who might use them.

Without Remorse
Such a good book, I read it last time I was in jail.
It's about this guy who rescuse this prostitute then helps her start to get her life back together, then she gets recaptured, and he goes bat shit crazy on the whole town.
There's much more to it though...

LOL, go figure that most of the books that I've read that are only one novel and not extremely difficult to read... are harder to get to.. Oh well, I'll look in the morning.
I do have these listed below if you want to read up on them on amazon or something to see if you want to read them.
Foundation - Isaac Asimov Fall of Highwatch - Mark Sehestedt Elminster in Myth Drannor - Ed Greenwood Elminster: The making of a mage - Ed Greenwood realms of the Dead - R.A. Salvatore and Richard Lee Byers
I believe the Elminster books were some of the first books created in the Forgotten Realms (Dungeons and Dragons) . I have a shit ton of Forgotten Realms books.. Quite a few of those are very long series though.. But I certainly have some that are just one and easy to get into if you have an open mind. I know some people think Dungeons and Dragons and are very critical of them without ever taking the time to read one.
