First off I just want to say to all of you cannabis lovers I am not against you smoking frequently! The way you live is none of my business because I don't know your life story! If you are comfortable with the amount you smoke that's really all that matters.
I've been smoking every day for months with a few short breaks here and there. I have an extremely addictive personality I get obsessed with certain hobbies or activities. I used to struggle with pill addictions but I haven't touched one in over 3 years now. The idea of taking or snorting pills just doesn't sit well in my mind anymore, I've found a deep connection to nature. However, I love drugs! psychedelics, Depressants, intoxicants, even stimulants here and there. But most of all I love smoking weed. I wish I could slow down but there just always seems to be an excuse to smoke! It makes everything better! My girlfriend and parents are totally against me smoking so I have to hide my actions from them every day. It's a lot of added stress in my life. It's just too much of a good thing really. I don't want to stop smoking completely I honestly feel like it treats my depression and anxiety issues I have. I want to limit myself and set boundaries. Any ideas on how I should go about this?
btw: I have a really shitty scale and I don't want to weigh out daily regiments lol

If you're happy, and it doesn't negative effect your life, why limit yourself right now?
You sound like me - I get absolutely focussed on something and pursue it to a crazy level. I used to smoke weed every weekend, but this year, it's been 6+ months where I smoked it daily. Then I'd smoke until I was absolutely stonned.
I've now gone back to weekend smoking - but only because my lack of self control saw me put nearly two stone on through giving totally in to the munchies every day. If I didn't need to get back in shape, I'd still be smoking daily!

I'm in the same boat, I smoke daily on a frequent level. I smoke when I'm bored, I smoke when I'm already stoned.
I had to decrease the amount due to cost frankly. But I never smoke before or doing work. I wait till after I get off.

It sounds like it's not really your problem, rather it's your girlfriend who has the problem. Maybe you should talk to her about the bolded portion?

The only thing I'm worried about is that I won't outgrow this phase... Right now its convenient for me to smoke habitually honestly I kept a 60 hour 7 day a week job smoking every day and now am starting up college and another job. Right now smoking really isn't a big deal but one day it might interfere with my life. I'm just worried that by that time I won't be able to stop, it's already insanely hard to stop just for a week or two! Do you guys think I'll outgrow this phase? I just want to be able to control myself and use it responsibly.
also the money thing is rough its super expensive in my area!

If you're smoking a lot of G's worth, have you thought of getting a vape? I was amazed at how long it made weed stretch + it how much easier it is to get really stoned.
It'd hard to say if you'll outgrow it, but for me personally, I've found the older I get, the more I enjoy smoking (early 30s atm.)

Get a vape.
You will use less weed, your lungs will thank you and the high is much cleaner. Oh and you'll never smell like weed so the guilt/paranoia factor is gone.
If you feel like you are benefiting from it, then keep using. I've always had minor anxiety and depression issues and vaping a little bit everyday helps me so much. Vaping a lot makes me feel like a zombie. I really believe lower doses of cannabis can be beneficial for mental health.

I have a magic flight box which I do love but it just doesn't give you that same high you get from ripping a few bowls out of a grav... I really barely use my vape, only for times I need to be super stealthy. The problem I have is that I lost my second battery and I never remember to charge the damn thing and with my current tolerance level one bowl of it just doesn't work like it used to. I do like the idea of switching over to a vape for a majority of my smoking because it does reduce the respiratory health risks maybe after I take a break for a bit it will be more useful.
I haven't smoked in 24 hours but if I had weed I would be smoking it right now. It's not a big deal when I'm busy but now at the end of the day all I want to do is smoke a fucking bowl.
Luckily my spores are coming in tomorrow so that will help get my mind off things! Thanks for the support and good Ideas!

Regarding batteries, any battery rated at 2000 mAh or over with the cover removed can be used. So you can stock up on rechargeable.

If it doesn't make you dwell on stuff it really isn't that bad. Probably a good replacement if you are a person who feels like doing pills if you don't have weed. Basically you don't want to get into harder drugs because those definitely don't benefit you. Drugs generally make a person dull unless you are talking about psychedelics or marijuana.

I stopped smoking weed regularly when I ran out of money looking for a job after a big move... Was too broke to afford more.
So I was running around like MAN I WANNA SMOKE SOMETHING...
Then I saw the cat's stash of catnip and I was like...
So on the way home from the job I got when I juuuust ran out of money, being all stressed out I'd smoke a bowl of catnip, and I'd be like AHHHHHHHH FUCK YES... Instant stress relief.
Eventually I went to the pet store and found a brand that marketed itself as being super potent, bud-only catnip... SOLD!
Now I've graduated to a combination of catnip/hops/chamomile/valerian all thrown in my old weed grinder to be turned into a powder.
But I miss pot so this Christmas season I'm getting me an ounce... and putting a 1/4 of that into a couple bottles of wine...
Main reasons I had been thinking about stopping in the first place were: 1) Anxiety. I dunno if this is the result of years of society trying to shame me, combined with years of me criticizing myself. But it was getting to me. 2) It no longer got me very stoned, or at least in a good way. Too much tolerance. And I couldn't bring myself to go without long enough to wear off the tolerance. 3) I no longer had dreams regularly since I started smoking pot. Dreams are fun, fucked up, weird. They're like free hallucinations without limits, 100% virtual, no danger of jumping out a window or something.
On the matter of dreaming since I quit smoking it... MAAAAAN. Suddenly I dream every other night in decent detail and every week or so I have a lucid dream where I decide to do something fucking crazy just because I know I can. Want to ride that quad you saw in the parking lot? Don't have keys? Realize this isn't GTA and get bummed? Realize it's a dream, hop on, don't care that you don't actually know what you're doing, and will the damn thing to go!!!
I'm really gonna miss dreaming all the time. But I miss weed so much... I don't think I'll be able to regulate, but I'll never know till I try again. I mean, come on, I make my own booze now, and I drink pretty much every day. :P
Now all I need to do is make weed wine and drink weed every day... Maybe it'll treat me differently from smoking it all the time and reduce my alcohol consumption.
Good luck to all out there who are trying to moderate their use though! I still say anti-anxiety herbs are the shit...
BTW: I like smoking the anti-anxiety herbs WITH my herb when my friend comes over with weed. So when I make my weed wine, I intend to add the anti-anxiety herbs to make an all-around anti-paranoid weed wine. Should be interesting.
