Spreading the Cyanescens love!

I found psilocybe cyanescens this season in britain. Now, I've already looked at outdoor growing tek's, and i have some projects going to cultivate the mycelium and then spread it in spring time.
However, my question is, can cyans be spread simply by taking a colonised piece of woodchip from the place i found them in, and placing it in a different bed of woodchips elsewhere? Anyone have any idea or experience on whether this is a good way of spreading shrooms?

it works but there are better approaches then raping a patch, spore-agar-grain-woodchips-outdoors

Okay, thanks. Well i'm literally only talking about removing 1 or 2 woodchips per attempt from a pretty large patch, and whilst it will be detrimental to the health of the original patch, i hope to start several new ones, and so hopefully the cyans will overall benefit more from me moving some chips to new patches

a couple woodchips to cardboard might do it

Do this. Sandwich the woodchips between layers of soaked cardboard. Let the mycelium colonize the cardboard, transfer the cardboard to another patch of chips.

Well at the moment on top of potentially moving some chips to new patches, i'm also growing mycelium onto carboard, which is going quite well. From there, i plan to put most of the mycelium in a spray bottle, shake like mad, and spray it onto this huge bed of woodchips i know of

However i don't know whether spraying it like that will have the highest success rate, although i cant see why not. I plan to save some of the mycelium on the cardboard and do as TheWiz says

your better off just letting the cardboard colonize then adding chips to the cardboard letting that colonize and spread the chips, spray bottles would get clogged

I spray spores, I spray LC , I do whatever it takes!!
But with your 2 little chips, doing the cardboard and chip burrito works good. Then keep breaking it up and making more.

I usually use 2 litre pop bottles. pokey a lil hole in the top cap and squeeze the LC or spore slurry to your hearts content. Works like a charm.
