Finally into a real space. 12 x 22 with cement and FRP walls. Sloped (mostly) floor with drain, PVC pipe shelving for 900 blocks. LED strip lights. Power vented with 9 foggers on the intake. The hunt for 100 lbs a week is officially ON!

Currently its seasonal oyster on the bucket kits. There are just mini straw logs with a lot of supp. sawdust spawn. If they sell, Great, if they don't then into the room they go.
On blocks I have king, poplar, shiitake and lions running.

oh my jesus, thats a lot of oyster spawn! Im just starting with oysters, first fruits are in my sig (yay!) I have blue oysters colonizing WBS, I was planning on making my own bucket with straw. if i were to do that, would I pack a bag filled with pasteurized straw and spawn into the bucket or just pack the bucket with no bag? also, are the holes open during spawn run?
this is kinda what I'm thinking, except the lid will be plastic, not oven bag like this pic..

Just follow normal straw log tek. The bucket just makes it customer friendly and easy to move around.

Which is why sawdust oysters usually have a better quality.

still dialing in the RH. It swings so wildly with the temp this time of year. 40s and rain one day -10 and clear the next. Been hosing the floor and walls and that helps. Will probably add a misting system

Nice set up, but sorry to say the pins in your sig don't look healthy - possibly a bacterial infection or too much humidity. It may just be the photo or strain of course...
You can pick up cheap digital Hydrostats from Sunteck Store. Mine have been running for 3 years now, just wrap some air filter material round the sensor to stop droplet or spore contact.

I'll check them out but a friend of mine is working on a rasberry PI controller with logging and live web cam feed.
Definitely wasn't too humid. The gray strain always selects just a few pins that get super large.
How would you determine if it was bacterial?

The unhealthy looking cluster is on blindingleaf's sig but that might just be their color, and the photo is a little blurry.
