if they travel in gangs like that hiding in trees it means they are staking out your house dude. They are planning on robbing you

what is it, like 20 years bad luck?
no, it's an indication that they have rabies...
the only time I have ever seen a rakin in the day time it obviously had rabies. it was violent when It approached me and had foam around it's mouth.
thankfully I had a .22 rifle and shot him twice in the head. he flailed around for a minute squirting blood from his neck and then went limp.
I went back home got a shovel and then buried his rabies ass -1' in the ground and put some large stones over the spot so no animals could dig it up.
point of story. rakins are fucked in the head!

Right? They can be so cute, they look like little bandits.
But they can also be vile little stinky monsters...
One time they invaded my grandmas crawlspace and had a bunch of little babies, getting them out took so long and it reeked in their for months.

Yeah, I've only seen a rabid 'coon once, it was walking all sideways and falling over and shit, it was in the city so I couldn't just shoot it, so I just went inside.

heard of that too before about the rabies I saw a cat pick a fight with one of then at night once he was swatting at it in the face and chased the racoon away thought it was going to hurt the cat regardless of if it had rabies or not
I just leave them alone I think people hunt them my friend does but we aren't from the same area

My cats jumped a possum before, it was pretty cool to watch.
And yeah around here people hunt/trap them, mainly because they mess with your garbage cans, they can eat your crops, and you can ~$20 per 'coon if you sell the fur to a taxidermist.

Maybe start spraying them with the hose, if they get all scared n shit they probly got the hydrophobie.
I don't think they'd be all together like that if they was though. Also they walk on the ground if they become raccoon zombies because they lose balance. Something probably just disturbed them or their regular den became inaccessable.

Every raccoon is gonna be scared of getting splashed/sprayed,it's only relevant when pets and humans suddenly become averted to drinking water.

Hmm... maybe I should have consulted a vet before I put down all those cats. Some of them probably had hydrophobie for real though.

The legal/animal control policy for most places is usually "better safe than sorry" and really, there isn't a shortage of them. If they were consistently on my property I'd take them out too, don't want them messing with my kitties
