quick wbs question

so i prepped a whole bag of wbs, i measured it and it fit all my jars DRY. lol so when i hydrated it i got a bunch left over and its too late to get more jars. any way to salvage it until tomorrow or should i just throw it out?

I'd just toss it and when you measure always remember it will double. So a 1/2 cup will be about 1 cup after soaked and cooked. I hate WBS my self tried it a few times couldn't get it clean enough. I only use rye and any extra my chickens love and it's cheep enough so I don't care. :goodluck:

last time i used wbs i didnt get contams until i did a bucket pastuerization tek

It's fine to save it until tomorrow. Keep it in a big pot or something with a lid till you get more jars. Maybe give it a quick simmer and dry it again before you jar it up. But make sure to PC them tomorrow.

And yeah, for future reference, one quart jar full to the brim will make 2 quart jars 3/4 full or so once hydrated.

i threw it away that night. figured i had enough jars to start what i want. not sure whether to monotub or do trays in a sgfc. suggestions would be helpful
