ID - Central Alabama - Two different types
    #19261814 - 12/11/13 06:22 PM (10 years, 2 months ago)

Hi everyone,

I was hoping someone could help me identify these.

Habitat: Horse Pasture - Growing in soil.  I could not determine if it may have been growing on a small piece of wood underneath the soil.

Gills: Same color as cap.

Stem:Hollow, same color as cap.

Cap: A light orange color.

Spore print color: ?

Bruising: No color change was observed.

Location: Central Alabama - Birmingham area.

And here is the next set:

Habitat: Growing on trunk of a live tree. I do not know what type.

Gills: White

Stem: None - They were directly attached to the bark.

Cap: Smokey white or light tan?

Spore print color: None taken.

Bruising: No color change was observed.

Location:Central Alabama - Birmingham area

Looks like you found a Laccaria and a Pleurotus.
