Wake up at home
Walk around
No light / being chased(intruders)
Evil beings/shadows
Getting light
Flying out into the garden over the large grass fields over the high tree tops
sometimes around my city/country meeting people I know or flying to places I lived before

Often no light, no light at home, no light in the whole city
but sometimes lots of light :-)
there are no obvious dream signs I can recognize, feels so real
only find out I am dreaming when I start to float, or when being chased by shadow beings

Things that keep appearing in my dreams are rusty pipes, downward spirals like staircases and tons of sheet metal.
Often me and random people (Friends, family) are on the run from an unidentifiable threat and escape by following the downward spiral.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN?!

For years and years I have had Vietnam jungle type apocalypse dreams where I lead a squadron through ruins of brick villages. Several hundred people were dying without cover and I was left with 10 soldiers. My dream also involved an angelic woman that I would die for so I am trying to get from obliterated. First thing it is I do is try and hide in my boat by the shore.
We reached a port but it was blocked by giant sharp wall of sharpened trees. So we had a romantic kiss before we got destroyed.

Another reoccurring dream I have borderline nightmares about . It's hard to explain, I have bad memories but I'm so happy spooning a hippie bitch in my dreams

The other dream thread got me thinking about this. I used to write down my dreams and this helped me notice patterns and themes that happen again and again. Mine seem to be, off the top of my head:

Public restrooms/lockerrooms
Parking garages
Being chased
Shopping malls
Being at a completely foreign college campus

What kinds of things pop up in your dreams time and time again?

Being brutally murdered in non-realistic ways
Abstract landscapes with non-recognizeable forms which are ever-changing :s

i just took a nap... and i had two of the funniest coolest dreams i've had in awhile.

dream a: i was at a district of what looked like New Orleans and i was riding and weaving in and out through masses and swathes of people grouped in various ways on a bike. some walking in pairs, threes, fours, and fives, some playing pool on the side of the street, some people in big group on the street and sidewalk were singing praises [one was wearing wooden wings and Catholic cloth] and when i got a dead end there were people sitting on benches at the side of the road singing too and waving weird symbols, and there were people hanging out the windows of their homes singing along with everyone outside... and yeah, i kept riding through everyone on my bike, backwards and forwards, in which ever fashion i happened to be approaching them and not hitting anyone; just skidding and slaloming through them at various speeds. i was hanging of the side of my bike just pushing myself along, with foot on the pedal; and somehow came across this big gated wall, where my dream shifted gears, and i went inside and there was all sorts of people gathered at this expo, sorta like a big mall sale... where everyone was buying food and clothes and other things... there were video games, and music, and libraries of stuff that were essentially from the future (as they were titled as such ie Doom 4 edition 2 LOL) and was looking at some textiles behind this shelf... this guy came through with some stuff, and i wanted to get out of his way, i said "oh i didn't know this was the storeroom" and he was like "yep, this is the storeroom", and i got boxed out of the backspace i was in back out to the rest of expo, then i woke up.

yep, that was one pretty cool dream.

i thought i had forgotten the other one... nope. typing now.

the other dream i had was even weirder.

dream b: i was asleep in my room, (in my old old house where i used reside) and i woke up looking out the window, from my bed (from my pillow to be exact), and saw a neighbor walking by the pathway between houses... he walked by inconspicuously enough, and then his "son" (apparently) came up to the open window and poked his head in... he looked very pleased... he wandered in and took off through my house... my neighbor then came back to the window, said something strange, and then i went looking for the kid... i went up stairs and tried to find him in my mom's old closet (where i used to go climbing up into... i was like a hanging closet with two rails and little enclosure, so i always used to climb and hide up there when i was little; i figured the kid would be up there too) and i tried to find him looking around downstairs too, but to no avail... i went back to my room and talked to my neighbor again to which he said more strange things that i don't remember and then my step-dad came home... i told him about the odd scenario, and he was just like  :thewarden:

the end

i can't remember too much of that dream though... not any of the details, damn.

Things usually start relatively normal at first, but unless I change dreams shit starts getting really REALLY fucking weird. Like id be in school and in a few dream minutes I'm jumping planet to planet shooting missiles at shit. Hey I'm not complaining lol

I always seem to wind up in some weird predicament revolving around acquiring or doing drugs. Usually Opiates.
I feel its a lingering subconscious thought after giving up heroin.

I've noticed something about my drug dreams. After the pursuit of the drugs and sometimes doing them. I start getting wreckless.
I end up getting the gang together and I lead them down a road very fast. Usually I'm driving in reverse. But it's this stretch of road that's always exactly the same. same time of day(night), same enviroment with lots of houses around and driving up some steps.
Then like clockwork my alarm goes off. It's like somehow I know it's close to time to get up so I speed my dream up and get my drugs(opiate aswell), sometimes do them, then go fast and furious for what seems like 2 minutes compared the the rest of the dream.
Happened the other night and I was like goddamn road again lol.

Yes I notice my dreams as they near end get wreck less as well.
Usually I end up doing something or get this feeling that the pursuit of the drugs is somehow leading to my downfall in the dream.
The circumstances are always different but I faintly remember a few dreams where after getting the drugs I have to somehow avoid people and sneak away to do them.

I can and do lucid dream often however this one was just a normal one.  When I'm lucid dreaming I usually just get a really fast car and drive as fast as I can without a seat belt till I die in a terrible crash LOL it never gets old

I've only had 2 fully lucid dreams. I went out walking around this lake then later that night when i was falling asleep the scenery from the lake started materializing in my mind as i was dropping off. I went straight from being awake, into a dream. It's the only time that's ever happened.

Second time recently i was smoking in a dream but i gave up nearly 4 years ago and i dawned on me that i only smoke in dreams and i went fully lucid.

Usually i feel half lucid, i'm totally absorbed in whatever's going on but i feel free to act within it. Flying is a conscious thing that i have to put effort into.

Teeth falling out
Falling
Destruction of cities
Being in/around pools
Being a character in a 'game' (be that video game, board game, etc.)
Chasing an elusive animal/being

All I can think of that has come up multiple times in my dreams.

Wow that's sick, I've never consciously witnessed crossing from being awake to dreaming. That must've been badass. Also smart of you to recognize that behavior in the dream and become conscious like that. I myself haven't had any lucid dreams prior to my journey into looking how to do it. Must have been pretty damn cool to have that happen.

a good trick is if you are in an elevator, check the buttons... you may realize they are all jumbled or dont make any sense.

remember that if this occurs... you are dreaming. make up your own rules.

I'd love to be able to do it all the time. The first time i flew was in my first lucid dream. I was doing stupid shit to people, i blew raspberrys at someone and shot up into the air. It freaked me out.

I've got used to it since then, i had a dream once where people were shooting at me and got up so high i could see the bullets slow down.

I can fly away from danger, and i can do mad parkour, jumping over buildings.

Sometimes i have dreams where i feel sluggish and i can't move properly at all, i have to drag myself along, i hate those.
