Pond fogger water growing scum?
    #19261388 - 12/11/13 05:02 PM (10 years, 1 month ago)

Hi,

I'm using a pond fogger in a tray of water on the top shelf of a martha-like setup, but after about a week pond scum starts to develop in the water.

Could i add a chemical to the water like hydrogen peroxide to keep it from developing?

Would this hurt the pond fogger or make the mist harmful to breath?

Thanks

Clean it out once per week. You can't let it get nasty, Peroxide will help, but you still need to dump it out and wash with soap and water on a regular basis.

that and peroxide decomposes into h2o and o2 pretty quickly so it's not really worth it light will make it decompose even faster too.
