Yeah you're totally right. I just need to develop a better game plan. This is just the first time in my life where I've given something 100% effort and failed. In my opinion there's no worse feeling than that.

The reason you're failing is clearly because you're working 5 days a week....leave work alone. University itself, especially life sci, is a full time job...
Change up your work habits next semester and learn from your mistakes. Thats all you can do.
One thing, however, that my friend once did which worked to his favor, was that he pretended to get sick during his exam. It was kinda epic. He legit vomited too. He was removed from the exam room and was told he could write a different exam in two weeks.
Your last option would be to stand outside in the cold naked and catch a fever. Then you can get a legit doctors note and get a nice long extension to catch up. As you mentioned in your post, if you fail this one course it will be 100% impossible for yoy to ever become succesful so this small sacrifice may be worth it!
First of all I'm a 3rd year and this is one of my important major classes. Second, my gpa is around a 3.3 and I needed about 3 or 4 semesters of 4.0s to get my gpa to a competitive level. An F is gonna drop my 3.3 to like a 2.9 and that basically means game over
Assuming you've taken 4-5 courses per semester, so on average 10 courses per year, you're dealing with 40 credits which is how much you need at my university to graduate. Whether you get 0 in the course or 3.3 will only change your cGPA by like 0.08.
So if you're cGPA ends up being 3.7 and you got a 3.3 in the course, had you failed the course it would still be like 3.62. Considering these acceptances are based largely on MCAT scores and lab experience, a 3.62 vs a 3.7 definitely won't do much.
Sorry for getting technical. All I'm saying is that by failing one course, your hope of reaching medschool isn't permanently destroyed. Just relax amd do better next year

Keep focused in school. Don't fail that class if it's that important to your future.
Remember that this rocky time will soon pass. Good luck

If you weren't spending a bunch of money on cocaine you probably wouldn't have to wait tables 5 days a week. On top of that, you wouldn't be doing a bunch of cocaine which would probably help with your motivation.
I think stopping doing a bunch of cocaine is a good first step.
First of al where in my post does it say i've been doing a BUNCH of cocaine. I did my first line maybe 2 months ago and haven't done more than a gram since. I also wait tables 5 days a week because I have fucking rent and bills to pay on top of trying not to starve. Try not to jump to conclusions buddy
When you say "getting more into cocaine" it implies that you were already "into" cocaine as more is comparative, not absolute. I'm just making a suggestion based on what you're telling me. It would appear that my interpretation was incorrect, however as I explained that doesn't really seem like my fault based on your choice of words.
As to your situation, you just have to keep at it. Hopefully things will work out.

Fair enough. I definitely could've used a better choice of words
