Stage four colon cancer.
Anyone with any experience dealing with this?
He goes into surgery next week, then chemo 6-8 weeks after that.
Has crap health insurance. etc etc etc.

Im no doctor and wouldnt want to give out medical advice but I have heard great things about the effects of turkey tail (trametes versicolor) extracts against breast and colon cancer.
He could take it along with the chemo, but dont ask his doctor about it because they will tell you not to take it. They want you to take strictly there TREATMENT, Notice I say treatment and not cure.
I also know somebody who had stage 4 lung cancer and was told he was going to die in months even with treatment. He refused chemo and radiation and treated himself strictly with a healthy diet, exercise, and a daily dose of vitamin c and Rick Simpson cannabis oil. He is now cured and even travels the world again. He is the healthiest cancer surviver I have met.

My step father has melanoma. It started out on his eye, and then in his lymph nodes, and then in his lung. He's had 3 operations to remove it, but it keeps coming back and it isn't expected to go into remission.
Melanoma isn't treatable with chemo, so he basically has no option for treatment, and from my understanding is basically waiting to die. (to top it off, his mother just died this weekend.) He's got money, and insurance, and a super supportive work place - but no real options. He is planning on doing some travelling and making the best of the time he has left. Once melanoma gets into the blood, it rapidly spreads throughout the body, and he is expecting that, although hasn't received any conclusive results, yet.
My mother is basically handicapped and completely reliant on him too. Not sure what she'll do if he kicks the bucket.
Sucks.
I had a coworker in his 40's get prostate cancer last year, and now my boss who just turned 40 and is an ultra athlete and a bit of a health nut has cancer, and has been off work for months because of it. My dads friend in his early 60's also has cancer, and he's an ironman athlete!
It effects everyone.
My grandma died of breast cancer within 9 months of being diagnosed at 53 years old.
Good luck, hopefully the chemo turns things around for your dad.
