Found 2012-12-13 in CA on an old Andricus quercuscalifornicus gall, Cupressus duff, wood chips, and a Ginkgo biloba leaf in close proximity.
Spores minutely spiny with the wall ~1 µ wide at most. Spore range = 10 – 11 (12) x (9.5) 10 – 11 µm Spore average = 10.65 × 10.43 µ Q range = 1 – 1.1 Average Q = 1.02 20 spores measured
Anyone good with slime molds?

I tried looking into those names in "Myxomycetes: A Handbook of Slime Molds", but I'm not really getting anywhere without capillitium which I didn't observe when I did a crush mount, maybe I just missed it?

We have something similar in Europe...

Very difficult to identify. Most blue myxomycetes fade when old and become greyish.

Do these have stems at all? I don't see them but doesn't mean they aren't there.

I think I see something that looks like stems, they are most visible in the second photo and look kind of yellowish?
