I find that  spending a fortune and massive amounts of time  getting all of these fertilizers for the soil is often unnecessary.  SWIM threw some seeds in what I thought was a waste of time soil and they actually did quite well.  As long as it's loose and sandy , they will grow.  The seeds are small and the tiny roots are fragile , very loose soil makes it easier for the roots to penetrate.
When in seedling stage , it is very important to make sure they get water , if not and they go dry , there is a good chance they will be stunted.

Well done Esekon Kelly - the only thing is, that Opium will not burn properly in a joint for example, even if mixed with hash. See how it behaves when you smoke it with an opium pipe (I posted somewhere here how to make a simple one of bamboo and how to smoke it) and you will see what I mean.
Second - the remainings from smoking opium (the dross, ie the black rest from smoking opium) are precious because most of the morphin rests in there (the temperature isn't high enough to burn it - in Orient people smokes this dross from inside the pipes once/twice more or they eat it. If you smoke it blended with hash it is lost ... And the difference (effects, feeling)between hash and opium-mixed hash is very tiny.
Many years ago Turkish hash producers tried to push hash of inferior quality with opium. Since opium was priced up to 50$/kg and hash about 100$/kg you can immagine that they added sometimes up to 30% of opium. It was easy to observe that the opium went sticky in the joint/chilum/whatever, blaze and ash where solid (because of the dross). Most of the people disliked this pot after being excited and full of expectations in the first moment and soon the Turkish opium hash was history ...

Mmmm love me some opium poppy tea. I like to make an extract of the pods into water and alcohol and soak some klip dagga in it, then let it dry. Its one of the most euphoric things I've ever smoked.

I recently won some poppy seeds and I won't be able to use them for a while so I was told since their year old seeds it would be best to store them in the freezer until I'm ready to use them. Is this the right thing to do or is their another better way to store them so that they'll be healthy and ready to grow next year?

A fridge or a cool, dark place will be more suitable. I always give them in a cool, dark place...don't contact with sunlight or anything. Just make sure they don't get too much moisture since they'll develop mold. Give them dry but not too dry because they'll shrivel up and become crusty like rice crispy...it has happened to me.

so Maybe in the fridge instead of the freezer? Will the freezer damage them in any way? Thanks for the quick reply.

To be honest, I have never put seeds of any kind inside a freezer and I don't intend on doing it anytime soon . It just seems like a risk. I have no scientific analysis to express and denote my concern as to why storing seeds in a freezer would cause damage but in my opinion, it is better to be safe than sorry. All that condensation or whatever will evidently produce mould or create an environment suitable for some kind of fungi to develop. When the seeds are finally removed from storage and placed in room temperature for a while, the moisture trapped inside the sealed bag or whatever container you desire to put them in, will be in the perfect place (especially a spot with direct sunlight) to undoubtedly develop mould, and the worse case, your seeds could be dead. I have kept seeds inside a dark, cool dry cupboard for years and they germinated just fine without problems. I hope my shitty information helped for you …I am very tired at the moment and…yeah…good luck.

The refrigerator is the best place to store seeds. The low humidity and constant cool temperatures prolong seed life. This isn't necessary as any cool dark place will suffice as long as they're well sealed. Seeds will last a few years, depending on species. Freezing isn't recommended as it can freeze any water still inside the seed coat, rendering the seeds useless.
