Very sesquipedalian loquacious, of me.
Also, it's quite paradoxical that calling yourself sesquipedalian loquacious, is in fact being sesquipedalian.
But that's how I roll. :awesomenod:

Stop being pedantic tmethyl;)
Damn I guess I didn't really read through what the op wrote my bad but it was a good idea to list all grain, casing and agar materials and ingredients along with what they do and how to use them in 1 thread since I've never seen one before

Rye Nutrition, Brown Rice Nutrition

No worries you're on topic. These kind of questions are very welcome. Information is power.

G2G does no such thing.

And yes, grain to grain is considered cloning.

No it's not.

WTF are you talking about? Just about anyone can get rye in quantity for cheap. It's the minority that can't. Others just don't want to look, so they settle for WBS.

Quote:

Considered confusing to those new to grains this media must be prepared a little differently compared to rye.

WBS is not considered confusing. The prep is exactly the same for me, and it depends on which prep you follow.

Quote:

Although this is not used like grain spawn due to the fact separating the grains while in the jar is damn near impossible and it having far less nutrition,

Separating the grain is plenty easy in a PF cake. Lots of people spawn them, and they have LOTS of nutrition. In fact, in most tests I've seen, PF cakes tend to have a higher BE than just about any other method. They're just a lot of work if you want bulk.

Quote:

Because it is less nutritious proper sterility can be achieved with an hour steam or a half hour in a pressure cooker at 15psi.

Not because it's less nutritious. And you still need an hour in the PC.

Quote:

but not cased due to lack of nutrients.

PF cakes are crumbled and cased all the time and it works fine.

Casings lack nutrition

Not completely, but mostly.

I'm not sure if you're saying it is isn't nutritive, but I thought you might find this interesting.

Quote:

I've been saying verm has nutrition for fungi ever since the pf tek first came out over a decade ago.  In addition, anyone who has had a plain verm casing layer taken over by trich or cobweb also agrees.

Now, the manufacturer touts verm as a natural 'fertilizer'.  Why do we have to keep having this conversation?

If you're growing wood decomposing species, sawdust is what you want.  For dung and straw loving species, vermiculite has what cubes for example, love.

It kinda is an addative but your right on nutrition. It does supply the myc with some beneficial nutes.

its rare , an OP , would be so misinformed.
oh who am i kidding, this kinda gibberish is common, after all,
he learned it somewhere.

we have to ask ourselves, as a community,
how this poor soul, could be so lost.

rather than attack, we might be better served,
suggesting he read threads lighter on fantasy.

Anne - way too many commas in there, and misplaced commas too, I should add.
Leave the commas alone - they didn't do anything wrong, they are innocent!

Also to OP - that tek is out there, man. Geez.

I overuse, commas, on occasion, sometimes too.
We meet, every, other week at the VFW, if, you'd like, some free, therapy, Anne.
We call, the, group, "breaktalking".

You don't have to live, like, this, Anne, there are options, somebody cares. The, first step, to recovery, is admitting, your use, of commas is excessive.

It's not interesting until RR kicks the door open, spits out his fat cigar, and unloads a metaphorical torrent of pontificated mycological actuality.
And as the dust settles, he is standing at the door way, dual-wielding smoking guns rested on his hips, scantily clad, he says:
"Those bullets were hollowed out and filled with the spores of a genetically modified species of primate-colonizing Cordyceps, after it consolidates your brain, it will force you to work on my mushroom farm for less than minimum wage, with no benefits, not even dental. Then, when I'm finished with you torpedo shaped fruits will burst fourth from your skull, which I will collect spores from, isolate a strain, and repeat the cycle perpetually. All this, of course, permitting I can supply proper FAE."

Then FrankHorrigan jumps over the bar wearing nothing but a shampoo bottle over his erect phallus, he then tosses a BRF jar contaminated with Aspergillus, Trichoderms, Dactylium, Neurosora and Penecillium, at RR.
I don't know how the above fits into the story, but its an important bit.

RogerRabbit is not the end-all be-all of mushroom cultivation. There is no end-all be-all of mushroom cultivation because we, as a whole, don't fully understand it. If we did, we'd be able to fruit any species we wanted indoors completely non-sterile.

Yes that's why I make community based guides and employ everyone to collaborate and share, because I find it more effective to to so, and the final product is a collective projection of many brilliant cultivators.

What I said above is "it would get interesting". Not that RR is god, as you've so condescendingly implied.

Rye Nutrition, Brown Rice Nutrition

No worries you're on topic. These kind of questions are very welcome. Information is power.

That is for cooked rice sir. Rice boiled in water looses some of its nutrients if any of the water is drained. I believe these nutritional statistics may be skewed.
