Epiphanies?

What was your most amazing and/or profound experience while tripping? Any epiphanies? Anything that was so real it changed your life and you'll never be the same?
I was rolling pretty hard the other night and am convinced that I remembered being in my mothers womb and then being born. It was more than a dream, more than a memory; it was like I relived it. It was the craziest, coolest, and weirdest experience yet.

Yeah, On 6gs I realized my best friend it a fucking moron. At that point everything made sense with the universe.

On 4gs I realized that everything in this world is subjective to us as humans, and nothing can be accurately translated into language without being cut down to a shorter version. I also became aware that the universe feeds off of change, and that this concept of change basically runs out universe.
I get the best epiphanies from mushrooms!

Thx for sharing. I think it would be cool to have a "coffee table" book that essentially chronicled peoples epiphanies while tripping. Hell, maybe I'll work on that and I can have the first page be this thread.......

My most important epiphany: it is important to express your love for people/things because one day you might not be able to, and you'll wish you did.
My weirdest epiphany: when I communicated with my girlfriend's cat I realized that cats just want to be treated like humans.. they appreciate all the "cat things" you do for them - feed them, pet them, etc. but they don't want to be looked down upon, they wanna be treated as equal. Maybe this is why Egyptians worshipped cats?

I realized my own belief in the spirit (human or otherwise) and a higher power. Where before I had long professed atheism. I even saw imagery of God. It was a very silly image of a tired looking old man with a resigned and apathetic look on his face sitting in a dark stone room with a low fire in a hearth. The image was not so important as the realization that I had been making myself miserable for years just to satisfy my ego. I thought logically I can neither believe in god nor did I even like the Christian faith. After that trip and many that followed I have zero doubt in the spiritual aspect of the universe. By accepting the fact I do believe in a guiding force in the universe I have stopped my inner turmoil. Over time I have come to realize the importance of the type of energy one one creates in the world. I have even developed some ideas about spiritual harmonics. These notions have fed into and off of other concepts. For example soul mates seem very real to me now. They are harmonic spirits. As such they gravitate to one another. Likewise people who are disharmonious in terms of energies are repelled by each other. I don't often share these ideas publicly as most dismiss the notions as hippie dippy b.s. But anyone I have met that experiences the 'oneness' with the universe feeling has always been receptive to these general ideas or at least willing to listen and consider the possibilities. I even go to church now. First I reason that some great life lessons can be learned. I am not going to defend some of the backwards non secular ideas nor the actions of some individuals or groups. I am simply there to learn about myself and how to be a better spirit. I reason that the good theologies can aid me in gleaning a useful life lesson here and there. Also I like being surrounded by other people wanting to deposit the currency of love care into the world.

I've had many epiphanies, or 'brief realizations', I like to call them.
I like your assertion on the cats though.

For some reason this reminds me of a night a couple months back when I was incredibly high. My cat was just staring at me and the fact that my cat is alive tripped me the fuck out. Like it is a living, breathing thing... but what goes on in it's little cat mind?

Cat's are some of the most fascinating creatures... When I trip, cats seem to "know", and they have such elegance in nature. I always love watching and interacting with them! I believe that cats are incredibly intelligent animals, and fascinating ones at that.

They do! I feel like my cat knows when I'm high - but I don't know how my cat feels about it... I feel like my cat judges my lifestyle choices.

My good friend's cat always comes to greet us if we come back spun out from a concert or something
When we came back from Phish on LSD, he was all over us looking for attention. At one point he stood next to me looking off into the distance, and his fur looked to me like it was made up of thousands of small curls of a Mandelbrot fractal set... I felt a sentience from him, and I had a moment of empathy for felines as a whole, honestly!
