Putting them in a container seems dampens them. I'm guessing you either didn't use enough damprid or it had already been saturated from air exposure.

fan dry again and stick them in the crisper in your fridge overnight, the cold air will draw the rest of the moisture out, or fan then in the oven on the lowest heat for a few minutes with the door open

Dry out your damp rid in the oven.
Also possible that the mushrooms were wet on inside, dry on outside and moisture re-distributed in closed container with not enough or already saturated damp rid.

I ended up drying in oven for 5 minutes then ate it all up. Amazing experience. first grow and it was waaay worth it.
Once and for all i would like a definitive answer on heat degrading active chemicals. 5 minutes at 100 degrees worked fine (not totally dry tho) but i was afraid to push it any further.

It's not that simple. The chemicals degrade even at room temperature. It's just a matter of how quickly, it happens slowly. People boil mushrooms into tea all the time with no noticeable potency loss.
