Question about a background check...

I just got offered a supervisor position at a starbucks inside of an airport in texas. All that needs to be done is get fingerprinted and do a background check. I have a misdemeanor for vandalism from 5 1/2 years ago in 2008.
The papers I filled out stated that they look for FELONY vandalism but it didn't say anything about misdemeanor vandalism. I've had a background check before in the past and passed it. I'm just worried about this one because it's in an AIRPORT and I had to sign a bunch of security shit.
Do you guys think I'll pass this background check?

As long as you list your address in a different locale than your offense you will pass. I recently got a job that did a "background check" and they found basically nothing. My OWI offense, my intent to distribute, my multiple underage drinking offenses, and my possession charges didn't show up because I didn't put down that I lived in those jurisdictions.

They aren't going to care about a misdemeanor vandalism offense 5.5 years ago.

Exactly. If anything it will prove you're willing to get the coffee to the customer no matter what it takes.

I guess I passed it. I got a voice message from someone in HR wanting to schedule "orientation." I played phone tag with her and left a vm on her machine. I hope she's not out for the weekend because then I'd have to schedule it for the following monday and I just can't afford to not get paid better money than I'm getting now at my current shit jobs.

As far as I know, in Texas, they check up to two years back. So admit it if you have something on your record and say you really want the job
