so I am going to put mushrooms in the tea kettle then when it boils put them in the brew cup with the tea, I dont know if that is right, any and all help is appreciated, any advice on when to do it and should i do anything before hand.

I've made it for a friend once, I boiled water, then let it cool for about a minute or two, then added it to the shroom tea bag I made. I used a coffee filter and filled it with crushed/chopped/minced/pulverized shrooms, then tied it up with a string/floss. Poured the hot water over it and let it steep for 5 or 10 minutes while pressing the tea bag with a spoon many times throughout. Seemed to get the job done
I didn't use very much water ofc, maybe 3 or 4 ounces, wanted it to be strong

I am pretty sure that boiling water would ruin the potency.. it is best to let the water cool down a bit first.

Boiling water does not reduce potency Old urban ledgend
You can search this forum and find 1000 threads on tea...
Basically... Add mushrooms to a cup of boiling water, remove from heat Wait 15 min, strain and drink
Some folks, including me, powder the mushrooms right before adding to the boiling water. If you can't powder, chop with knife...
A little lemon juice or vinegar (dash), or regular tea bag is a good idea

This sounds like a super easy tea tek! I was looking for a good recipe for the next time I trip, and I think I might use this one. Do you think it would help if I added a bit of lemon juice to the water? It wouldn't be enough to shorten the duration, but just a bit to lower the pH.
