Sterilized hardwood sawdust, a bit of gypsum and supplement. 300ml of rye spawn per kilo of dry wood.

Beautiful fruits BlackPeace!  Wow!  What does the statement "a bit of gypsum and supplement" mean?  Thanks.

it's weird for me to see such fat stems; italian strains of this species (both wild & commercial) have far thinner ones

Nice Atricoz.  It looks like you cased those blocks?  Also i was looking in your gallery; did you visit a large mushrooms facility in Asia or something?  Those pictures were crazy.

Yes, I always case my black poplar blocks, with 50/50 peat and vermiculite.
I visited a huge mushroom farm (60+ acres wide) near Beijing, on last spring; that was a really nice visit. I also managed to bring back in Italy some mushroom samples, that I cloned

Around 4% (dry weight compared to dry sawdust) of gypsum and I if my memory is correct 60 grams of organic wheat bran.
Nothing fancy.

Did you ever get to experiment with x's or with lower supplementatoin Aleon?  I have been doing 20% as well and getting about 3/4 lb off of the first flushes.  Still waiting on succeeding flushes which I feel may turn out better if I start casing.  But I'm liking my results so far.

They have had trouble finding the holes with the X method.  And I'm going to try making some %10,bran bags this week.

Thanks for the update Aleon.  If the 10% goes well for you I also will try :P  20% has been doing wonders for me as far as first flushes but I haven't been casing so I don't know what to expect on the second flushes.  Waiting right now on them.  I do love this species though!
