Spruce Forest Hunt
    #19251800 - 12/09/13 06:39 PM (10 years, 1 month ago)

Went for a hunt in a nearby spruce forest in Arcata CA(Northern CA) here are some shrooms that looked cool. They looked by far more legit in person. I would love to know what they are.

MUSHROOM #1

Found this bugger deep into some trees (had to crawl through bushes). It was super dark and dank in there. Before i picked them the stems where bright yellow(like neon yellow)

MUSHROOM #2

MUSHROOM #3

You should start taking some pictures of them in their habitat.

With the age and condition of the mushrooms it is hard to tell, but I do believe Arrhenia have decurrent gills. It looks to me more like it has attached gills, but I wouldn't trust my opinion.

The stems look slimy for the first one. Might be Hygrocybe singeri. Agree with Lactarius for 3, probably similar to L. deliciosus.
