Sclerotia in pint jars?

Hi folks,
I'm thinking of trying a sclerotia grow with P. mexicana A. It seems so easy - just inoculate and let it go!
Anyways, what are your thoughts on using pint jars instead of quart for my rye grains? My original pressure cooker is out of commission, but I can borrow a smaller one that takes pints but not quarts. This should work if I just make more of the smaller jars, no?
I plan to follow this tek: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/13431948

It works, it is just more hassle come harvest time if you are doing bulk, harvesting 20+ jars of sclerotia can be annoying. I am hopefully making some big bags of atl7 soon

Yeah it will work fine, and you'll prob just end up with a lot more smaller sized sclerotia but o well.

Pints will work just fine.
If I were you, I'd grow them out and attempt to fruit it in a monotub. Even if it contams or you get little or no fruits, your stones will get much bigger and be easier to harvest.

So you're saying to wait until jars are fully colonized or wait 3 months or so until sclerotia are large? If the latter, should I remove the sclerotia first or just case the entire jar?

I've had better luck with using older jars.
