Hey guys. Thanks for all the help everyone and a special thanks to RR. So the goldish colored caps are TC and the redish are burma. This is my first real run. I did pull some burma off some cakes, and heres a question I'm hoping you can help me with. The Burma caps were kinda irregular on the cakes and they are coming out the same in the casing. I had read not enough FAE and high humidity will do it, but after adjusting both they still look super ugly. I wish I had done more research before selecting buma, haven't read anything very good about them. So take a look and give me any helpful hints you may think I need

Got little to nothing to do with the variety. All ms grows will have a wide variety of genetic outcomes. If you want to get picture perfect cubes, you will need to do more than blame it on the name a vendor gave it.

Doesn't look like it's anything you're doing bud, just your draw from the genetic lottery

Once a pinset gets poor FAE for a few days its hard to reverse the effects IME. If you want your mushies to "look" a certain way, or grow large, or fast, or be potent, etc etc, you will need to start cloning and isolation. Read up on those terms and all your questions shall be answered.
Sorry if I came off sharp, its past my bedtime. Those trays look pretty decent IMO, and many people here are fond of mutant deformed looking bastards. Good night

Cool, thanks . I promise I'm not being lazy, I've been reading everything I can find. But I'm not always sure which methods to use and sometimes certain directions are a little vague and hard for me to follow. I just got a couple books so I'm hoping that will help.

I get excited when I find mutants and weird genetic formations. They all taste the same and accomplish the same goal if that is what you are pursuing. Good Looking Grow.

Wet blows my socks off man, if you haven't tried them wet you totally should. I love fresh trips more than dry trips. I take 20-25g fresh, and I'm tripping pretty hard.

So The casing came out ok I think for the first try. I wish I had been able to enjoy it. I'm just too busy these days to be able to set aside uninterrupted time for my self.

Here's a link to a majority of the Teks I have used & could recommend.
The thing about a LC is you can't really know if you have a clean culture until you test it out. In my opinion, it is much faster and easier to noc up a lot of work with a LC vs doing a couple hundred G2G transfers. I've still spread contaminations with G2G that weren't visible or sniffable (could have been dormant), and ruined a large amount of spawn. If you are interested in using LCs, I would prefer using agar's GLC tek unless your working with agar, which is in the link I gave you.
edit: that last sentence might sound confusing because I said agar's GLC tek (this agar is a user), and then said unless your working with agar (which is referring to a growing medium).
That said, the main reason people don't use LCs that much anymore is that working with agar has become pretty popular. It's not that difficult and it offers a lot of nice benefits by picking it up. Agar will ensure you have clean cultures to produce your spawn, cutting down considerably on contams. Not only this but working with agar will eventually lead to the most production possible by selecting the desirable genetics (cloning)to work with.
Most people, including myself, would recommend getting into the agar work relatively soon in the game. It will help you out in the long run the earlier you get into it. If I were in your shoes I'd do 1 or 2 monos to get my feet wet, and if you're still interested in futhur growin go ahead and pick up the agar.
Thanks for appreciating the community and recognizing what a beautiful thing we got goin on here
