Ron Paul and faith

Could it be possible that the uptick in voting for clearly clinically insane candidates (Paul, Bachmann, Romney) is a religious display of faith in God's will to provide for you?
If the political system is Babylon, and therefore the devil, and rewards for the true Christian are to be found somewhere else, could it be that many Christians purposely vote for crazy people in order to demonstrate that there is no need to take this Earthly world seriously?

Probably so,
They want to fulfill the promises made in the Bible so that they can go to heaven in the rapture. So voting for pro-war crazies makes them feel like they are voting for the end of the world. I do not want the world to end. I like it here. Plus, what if they are wrong (most likely)...

Clinically insane? We have a prototypical narcissist in the White House who on the occasion of Mandela's death published a photo of himself in the cell formerly occupied by Nelson. The only cell that cunt was ever in danger of occupying is one on Riker's for his coke habit. Then there is the utterly delusional Pelosi. I have no use for L. Ron but Rand, Bachman and Romney are not insane.

I guess you have a different interpretation of crazy
"Carbon dioxide is portrayed as harmful. But there isn't even one study that can be produced that shows that carbon dioxide is a harmful gas." -Rep. Michelle Bachmann, April, 2009
"I find it interesting that it was back in the 1970s that the swine flu broke out under another, then under another Democrat president, Jimmy Carter. I'm not blaming this on President Obama, I just think it's an interesting coincidence." -Rep. Michele Bachmann, on the 1976 Swine Flu outbreak that happened when Gerald Ford, a Republican, was president, April 28, 2009
"Why should I go and do something like that? But the Lord says, 'Be submissive wives; you are to be submissive to your husbands." -Rep. Michele Bachmann, recalling in a 2006 speech at a Megachurch in Minneapolis that pursuing tax law wasn't her choice, but she did so at the urging of her husband because she was certain God was speaking through him
When Bachmann was campaigning for the presidency in 2011, she said that if she won, she would immediately close the embassy in Iran. (But Michele, there hasn't been a US embassy in Iran since the '70s!)
She said Iraq should reimburse the United States for having invaded and occupied it. Pretty amazing.

Don't forget about that time she "heard" someone say that their child became retarded after getting a vaccine. When later pressed on the issue she claims she didn't support that claim, but she was just telling national television what she had heard.

Let's face it, people become right wing because one or several large parts of their brain either fall dormant or die.

If you're young and a Conservative you don't have a heart, and if you're old and a Liberal you don't have a brain.

There's me on one side and you on the other. Who do you suppose is more qualified to determine what normal is?
Just what is it that you suppose scares people into conservatism as they age? Conservatism is brave. Liberalism is cowardice.
