Amount of spores needed?

Just got a 2lb bag of sterilized rye grain w/ self healing patch, was wondering how many mL of spores I need to inoculate a bag of this size? I got a 10mL syringe of unknown-strain psilocybe cubensis (they never let me choose) from a reputable vendor, can visibily see the spores in the syringe, when I shake it up, but otherwise have no clue how much to use. Remarkably cost significantly less than buying a grow box online, so if there is a fail, I can easily reproduce another try.
To just get it straight, I need to:
Sterilize needle with flame (i.e. be as clean as possible, duh) Inject straight in or along the sides of the bag? Place bag in a warm dark place for colonization. Does this area need to be sterile as well? I was just going to inoc, then throw it in the cupboard above the fridge, since the bag is sealed. Once colonized, prep fruiting chamber (i.e. perlite) Remove spawn from bag and dunk spawn in water for 12-24h, refridgerated?. Place freshly hydrated mycelium into fruiting chamber. Keep at a constant temperature with a 12/12 lighting cycle, and lightly humid. Watch to my amazement if I ever succeed in fruiting.
Was hoping to use a standard humidifier and a pocket heater to heat my closet area, as I can contain a more humid atmosphere and constant temperature. If I can, I might even keep it in an open area with indirect light contact, but suspicion may arise on what I am actually doing.

You technically only need 1 drop of spore solution to get the job done. I'd go with about 1-2ml though just to speed things up a bit.
When you inject the needle make sure you do it inside of a SAB.
During colonization it does not need to be kept in the dark nor does it need to be sterile. I leave mine on a shelf at room temp (75 F) exposed to indirect sunlight.
Most people break up the rye after full colonization and mix it with a pasteurized substrate such as manure or coir. If you try to fruit it as a colonized brick of straight rye then you should consider just cutting the top of the bag off and putting a casing layer on top. However, you will still get results if you don't spawn it or case it.

^ do what he said too...You don't need to use a SAB, it would help but it's not necessary when you have a self healing port if you don't have one. Turn off all fans and AC, Pick out a room and spray copious amounts of Lysol, make sure to take a shower and put on a clean long sleeve shirt, a face mask, a pair of new sterile rubber gloves, a lighter and have alcohol pads on hand. After you spray the Lysol and take a shower put on your rubbers and go into your "clean" room. Get your rye bag ready and wipe down the port with alcohol prep pad , heat sterilize you needle with a lighter, cool it off with a new prep pad and stick it in you rye bag, 1-2ml and when your done keep your bag in a 70-80 degree room. Once it's 100% colonized let it sit another five days then do what you do with it. Hope that helps, I'm no pro just trying to help and I'm sure someone will point that out....

Perlite is used when you are fruiting cakes; you can always put your spawn inside a tupperware and treat it like a cake but since you have a 2lb bag you might want to make the most of it by spawning to substrate and going for a monotub.
