Supporting cartels

I just can't understand buying/using meth or heroin, etc. Even coke or Mexican weed. Some crazy motherfucker is getting rich as fuck off it down in Columbia or Afghanistan, Mexico, wherever, killing innocent people, destroying land for their crops, etc.
Even prescription opiates or stims. They come from druggies who waste doctors time in the hospital. Or work in nursing homes and steal them from old people or their grandparents. Its one thing to buy a few adderal from your buddy with a script or something.
Idk, I just rarely hear of this being discussed on here. I feel like it is important. Using drugs is not inherently immoral. But IMO buying certain substances like I described above are depending where they came from is. I am not trying to put you guys down or anything I just want to know where you stand on this or maybe you just don't think about it. Not trying to sound like a dick or high and mighty.
Looking forward to your responses.

Technically it is "supporting the cartels" per se, but drug buyers aren't buying it to actually support cartels obviously.
They're just buying it to get high and could give a fuck where it came from.

Yeah I realize this for sure. But unfortunately the outcome is the same. It is supporting the cartels in end.

In this same stream of thought, paying taxes is supporting the war on drugs and other injustices perpetuated by our gov't.
It's good to be aware of these things--but often times it's better to turn our focus towards the things we directly effect, rather than indirectly--because that's a deep rabbit hole to go down...

The War on Drugs supports cartels. Blame that. Not people trying to get high.
Where there is demand, there will always be supply, regardless of how it gets there.
If drugs were all legal everywhere, this problem you speak of would not even exist. At least not NEARLY to the extent it does.
Do you take the same amount of thought and care to make sure you aren't buying anything from China or child/slave labor camps? Where the vast majority of our goods are produced now.

Bullshit. The cartels are nothing more or less than CIA/MI5/Israeli Mossad. They get to control the flow of dope and play the good guy too.

There's some good wikileaks material on "product O" too. It almost seems like the whole reason for the war was to increase O production...
Keep drinking the coolaid OP, your gov would never lie to you... Just ask any indian.

Yeah I suppose like shivas.wisdom said it is a bit of a rabbit hole. I definitely agree about the war on drugs. I am sure most people on the Shroomery do. The thing about comparing to child labor is that it is quite difficult, almost impossible to buy things that don't involve child labor. It would be a ridiculous amount of effort that most people simply don't have time for. But not buying particular drugs or only buying certain drugs where you know how they were obtained is a lot easier to do. Really simple in fact. But yes you make a very good point.

Well it's really the exact same argument. You are supporting the continued existence of X organization by buying their products. It's actually easy to buy clothes that aren't made by child slave labor in some 3rd world country.. you just can't shop at walmart.
Everyone with their iphones and ipads is supporting basically slave labor at Foxconn where they have tons of suicides a year. What does Apple do? Instead of improving conditions, they install nets to catch the people jumping out of windows.
There's only so much the little person can do. Vote with your dollars
But yeah I don't buy cartel drugs. I support local growers only.
We grow the dankest shit anyway. Who the fuck wants some mexican brick schwag.
