Not another casing question!!!!

Yes another one, hi guys i'm very new to the forum just wanted a opinion on my current grow op i cased about 5 quarts of rye seed 2 days ago with vermiculite peat moss 50/50 mix. After these two days im seeing fairly good mycelium growth through the casing layer. I want to know if it's time to initiate fruiting or if i should let the myc grow a bit more.I am just really wanting a high yield and am afraid of overlay even though i fan the terrarium about 4-5 times a day.Already patched all of the containers once. Thanks again guys!
P.S. My room is about 71 degrees Fahrenheit and the myc was incubated at that temperature and the humidity in my terrariums is 90%. When fruiting should i keep at that temp and humidity. or drop it even further? btw the strain is B+

I'd fruit now. Casing layers are not ment to be colonized. I've read after about 20-30% of mycelium pops up, it's deff time to fruit.

And you can keep the same temps for fruiting. Humidity is good also.

If you want the best yield, I'd recommend patching the spots to help the myc pop through a little more evenly, but that's not required, just recommended to get the best results.
Did you add lime to your casing? I used to use casing layers, had a complete brain fart once and forgot to add lime to my casing mix, that shit got greener than toxic waste from trich.

I think he means due to ph levels, not that lime actively fights off trich

I didn't add lime because i couldn't find any that was ph balanced in my area so i used calcium carbonate. and I patched the containers after that pic for the second time for a more even myc development. for fruiting is just a little of the myc supposed to come through the casing or is all of it supposed to? Thanks for the quick reply guys!

Here are some pictures post second patch i was thinking of giving it 12-24 hours to let the myc recover but you guys let me know if i should just pop it in the FC. And like the last comment the whole top casing shouldnt be fully colonized right? If so how colonized should it be?

Indeed, thank you. Just speaking from experience, the one time I forgot lime in my casing, I ended up getting serious bad mold, maybe not exactly trich, but something bright green, lol. Calcium Carbonate works just fine, just noticed you didn't mention it when you said what you used in your casing, so I thought i would bring it up just incase. Good luck on your grow!
