My dog knows when I'm trippin
    #19246885 - 12/08/13 07:51 PM (10 years, 2 months ago)

She's like a super rambunctious 3 year old border collie terrier mutt, always getting in my face and tryin to play even when I'm busy. But when I'm trippin she comes up like "hey wassup" and sits next to me just grinning, till I pet her, and then she tries to play but is way less energetic about it than normal.

Dogs are cool man.

We have a cat that does the same thing. I don't know if it's just because I'm tripping or what but little bastard seems to know something is up when I'm tripping my balls off.

My cat was extremely affectionate as well when I was tripping.

It's as if he could feel the extreme sense of well being and calmness I felt.

Yeah dude for real. And also the way he was looking at me -- like right into my eyes as if he knew. He was really close to me, like a foot away just looking at me. Lmao IDK again maybe it's was just because I was tripped the fuck out but it sure as hell felt like it was on another level.

Yeah he was looking into my eyes too!

I felt like I was connecting with him. He then slept peacefully on my lap. I'm sure it would be somewhat similar with a dog.

I would love to have been in your place OP. I have never tried with a dog.

No way man, it depends on the animal. Some cats are way cooler than some dogs that I know.

I think animals in general can tell when humans are tripping. I've had many experiences where my own pets, or my friend's or family's pets began acting all weird and tripped out while we were all tripping.
On one of the trips I went on last fall my wife and I were wandering through the woods and we came across a small garter snake. Usually when I come upon these things they try to quickly slither away, this one stopped, coiled up and stood its ground. It kept raising its head and opening its mouth and striking at us trying to bite. I've never seen one behave that way before. We weren't fucking with it or anything either, we just stopped and looked at it for a little while.
