Rosedale is one of the most expensive neighbourhoods in the city. Houses start at like $3 million.

Oh yeah, they are mad rich. Actually, most of my friends in college were from Rosedale or nearby. I kinda got absorbed into a group of people who were friends in high school. (Their school was the one they used in that show Degrassi Jr. High)
My friends parents who lived in that house in Rosedale eventually moved to Australia and paid for my and her plane tickets to visit them in Perth.

One of my siblings lives on Degrassi street and they were somewhat disappointed to learn that Degrassi high/Jr high are not really there.

Cool, maybe I will check it out sometime. I think they may have done some shooting on the actual Degrassi street as well but I'm not sure.

That's funny my aunt used to own a house on Degrassi, she just sold it a few years ago.

And then the sound of a 12 gauge goes off. and the loon sinks like the Arizona.

It's maybe on Jarvis. It's definitely in the gay neighborhood.

Nah, not only are they a protected species--but apparently they are some of the boniest, toughest fleshed, fishiest tasting birds out there--so not likely someone would want to hunt one even if they weren't protected.
Maybe that 12 gauge got some other water fowl though--one of the benefits of being out in the wilderness is you can shoot guns without freaking everyone out.

I loved living in Toronto. Had a great little place on Carlton street in cabbagetown. That was the best summer.

Here's a common recipe for cooking loon:
PLANKED LOON (1) Catch a Loon. (Black Lake Loon’s are best). (2) Pluck and clean. (3) Boil well. (4) With sharp knife, split loon down the belly. (5) Splay it on a well soaked hardwood plank. Nail it good and wire it securely. (6) Place upright on plank in front of hot coals on outdoor fireplace. Cook well for about two hours. (7) When done, throw that fishy duck away, and eat the plank!

Loons are masters at the game of chicken. at least the ducks fly away when you are cruising in the boat.
its like they know we can't mow them down.

I guess Rouge valley. Maybe Humber. The most underated park in GTA is Highland Creek in Scarborough, the bike path goes forever. Good place in city to grow stuff too. I miss some things about Toronto. PS my buddy was on Degrassi, not the new one the one with joey jeramiah. He used to have to parties and the cast would be at his house. It seemed the kids who played nerds did most drugs, while the cool kids on the show were the real life nerds.

I love the city but I don't think I could ever feel at home there. It makes me feel claustraphobic sometimes and wears me down mentally to the point where I gotta go to someplace with no city noises, no city smells, no city people. Shit just stresses me out.
I know some people hate to be alone in the woods, but that doesn't bother me a bit even way out. I never get lost in the woods but I am near helpless in the city I've lived around my whole life without a map or GPS.

Fixed quotes. Yeah the highland creek park system is awesome, I grew up right by there. It now connects a lot better to the lakeshore trail system as well. The only Degrassi cast member I've met was Snake, talked to him for a minute outside a bar on Spadina once and my buddy gave him a hug.
