monotub: water between tub and trash bag?

water has begun to collect on the bottom of my first tub, outside the bag so the substrate obviously cannot reabsorb it. I was thinking I should probably hold the substrate, flip the tub on its side, and let it drain (and then maybe entirely tape up the top of the bag to the side of the tub so water can't get down there anymore).... is this the proper course of action or should I just not worry about it?
also, somewhat unrelated but, I've heard many people say they mist their tubs when they can see the substrate/substrate surface has dried out. what does this look like? I noticed that, especially during colonization, there were tiny yet visible beads of water on the substrate, just like the walls... should I mist whenever I cannot actually see any moisture on the substrate?

just put a small hole on the bottom of the tub drain water without cracking sub then tape the hole up...
i only mist when the sub turns into a dirt like texture... my coir i know its wet when its darkish brown.. i know its dry when its a light brown. If you dial in your monotub correctly you wont have to mist at all unless in between flushes.

sounds good. forgot to mention that I am unable to run a fan because of an SGFC in the same room, so my tub isn't quite properly dialed in by some people's standards... anyone have trouble with not using a fan?
