Good cover letter template?

I never made one before. It's for jobs. Anybody here good at them? Any suggestions for them (how long they should be for example)?

do you have one ready? I can edit it or just give some general guidelines if you prefer? failing that I can add one of mine for you to have a look at?

About half a page to 3/4 of a page should be good. Instead of writing a generic cover letter and sending the same one to every employer, I would tailor it to the job you are applying for. Make sure you mention the specific job for which you are applying in your first sentence. Then tell how your past jobs/experiences, skills, and other qualities will make you the ideal candidate for the characteristics listed in the job posting.

I didn't make it yet. I'll send it it to you once I'm done. Anything would be helpful and appreciated.

I'm gonna be giving it to condominiums (concierge, doorman, security) and hotels (front desk). Would you suggest putting the name of the condominiums and hotels in them? I wouldn't do it for every one, since I don't know/remember the name of everyone, and I'm not gonna edit it every time I find a new one.
Thanks.

Being as specific as possible in the address shows that you've taken the time to write the letter rather than just printing off 100 generic copies and hoping to get any job (which you might be desperate for and that's ok!) but it helps your chances incredibly if you make it personal. The more info you can find about the job/employer and address that (without blabbing on) the better.
Even look up their website and find out a bit about the company if you have the time.

and another cover letter.
I did the exact same letter with a different company name and received call backs for interviews on both...
I didn't take the jobs because I changed my mind about the hours and conditions that chefs have to go through.

I'd put the name of the hotel or condo at the top and in the first sentence. Something like this:
Jon Doe Director, Human Resources ABC Hotel 1234 Easy Street
Dear Mr. Doe, (just put hiring manager if you don't have a name) I recently heard about the opening for a doorman at ABC hotel and would like to be considered for the position... Then list the skills and qualifications that would make you a good doorman.
The example andrewmurray86 posted looks good to me.

To be blunt: laziness is not going to get you a job. Put in some effort.
Also, a cover letter is ideally max. 1 page, provides a motivation why you are a great candidate for the job and contains no redundant info that's also in your CV.

Good advice and cover letter.
Is the top part with my name and stuff supposed to be on the right side like it's coming up? I'm guessing no. The second cover letter isn't working now. It says I might have to wait a few minutes or you have to re-upload it.

the letter should convey sincerity, qualifications for the position, appreciation for the opportunity to be considered, perhaps some specific/relevant experiences that you would draw on, & etc. Keep it brief, maybe 1-2 paragraphs.
You need to hook their attention in 30 seconds or less. don't drone on about extraneous details - just get to the point. t

I'm confident in the letter I will type because it will be sincere (especially the condominiums) since I love the architecture and stuff of them, which I will express.

Right on dude. Yup if that's pouring through the letter they'll pick up on it for sure.
Are you going for an architecture job?

Nah I just love the look of many of them and my goal is to live in a beautiful one someday. Being a concierge would mean I could also meet a lot of people. It'd also be neat being the head guy with a lot of stuff during my shift.
I want to be a professional photographer, which includes taking pictures of homes (not just condominiums).

Thanks, man.
I'd like to design condominiums one day. I'm not great at drawing, but I'm good enough to get some ideas across and maybe I can explain it verbally if I learn about the field. My guess is I'd have to push hard to let me pitch ideas since I wouldn't be building anything and doing the math.
I'd also like to not only design condominiums and hotels, I'd like to own and run them.
